I tried that when I had a Blue Gill and the Crappie was bigger by a lot and the Crappie ate the Blue Gill and I tried to get a bigger Blue Gill, but the Crappie bullied the New Blue Gill until he died.

Avey and pet stores don't feed feeder fish so they don't have any vitamins. So you're starving your fish and giving them a chance of diseases

I'm not opposed to live feeding, but goldfish directly from the pet store is a bad idea. They could have parasites and diseases. Not to mention that pet store goldfish are not that nutritional. Those goldfish are fed the cheapest food possible. I would suggest raising your own feeder fish with a better diet.

There is nothing more important than flow in a live planted aquarium as well so good on ya. A study was done recently as well that took a look at algae growth in bodies of water and basically the jist was low and no flow areas are the best environments for algae growth. Flow is king!

This is the first video I've seen of yours and I am really happy I stumbled upon it! First off, those lights you put in under the tank is awesome! Great idea!! I was really feeling sorry for the sheriff when Clyde gobbled up the first few goldfish but man he really is a savage! Don't count him out. I love him. I also love Red! this is so fascinating to me. I've seen bluegill around bass beds get ran off or becoming lunch but it's cool to see that giant bluegill out compete the bass. I guess he better while he still can.

You should make a 3d backround for your tank! Its inexpensive,fairly easy to do, and looks amazing! You can make caves for Bonnie and Clyde, maybe a structure for Red so the outlaws cant get to him. If you design it right you can hide hoses/wave makers aswell! Hope all is well, love the tank!

I have been keeping up with your fish aquarium videos and have really enjoyed them, My neighbor across the street has some land outside our city limits and has built a pond with hopes to raise a variety of fish in it. I have offered to help out and have been doing my Internet research to develop a sustainable environment for the fish. My only Biology degree is in Human Physiology and previous degrees are in electronics and computers. So I hoping with that combined education and experience, I can really go all out on this. He and I really hope to be successful. So, your project has definitely inspired me. Thanks again for sharing.

LOVE the tank videos. I would like to add a SUGGESTION. What if you separated a small portion of the tank and kept live bait fish or shad. Maybe add small holes so only they can go in/out. I'm thinking of a small crystal wall or something similar.

When bluegills (esp males) get bigger and older, they become aggressive and powerful. I've caught so many "bullgills" on lures ranging from 2" jerkbaits to 4" soft plastics to 4" crankbaits. When they are willing, the way they hit a lure and fight on lighter setups makes me think I have a 2 pound bass on. Pumpkinseeds are bound to be more willing more often than bluegills. And the speed and power of redbreasts in small rivers and streams is amazing.

I love your vids man, I think you should put your play button in the back of the tank. That would look awesome. For the Frogs name my personal favorite would be chief. I think chief the frog sounds like a good name. I have also bought some of your different frogs on bama frogs and think you should do another bass blowing up on frogs video. Lose the foam on the powerhead. It's going to trap detritus which reduces efficiency and make it into a nitrate factory. It's exceedingly unlikely that a minnow will get into there and if it does it's just going to get shredded and eaten by your fish, which are too big to get in and get injured themselves.

You should have the current maker on the side of the over flow lower and the one on the other side higher. The other one will blow sediment toward the filter which is what you want. How you have it blows sediment away from the filter

Bevy the Palatapus probably a lot of money. (I'm not an expert) but Once you add a sump ( the fish tank under the actual fish tank) it starts getting really REALLY expensive. Bama bass probably dropped 5 grand on like a 250-350 gallon fish tank. Plus his new wave makers cost 350$$. So yeah, any normal person would get a 50 gallon and like an oscar.

I would recommend putting something that floats on the surface of the water because as the frog develops (if it survives) it will need to breath air and will drown unless it can rest on something on the surface.
