At some point, we need to BEHAVE to reflect the following FACTS: * Kashmir, Srinagar, Anantnag, Awantipora, Baramula etc are all Hindu names from much before when Islam came to these places. * The Valley is the only part of J&K state that wants "Azadi". All other parts are pro-India, including Gilgit-Baltistan, Kargil, Ladakh and Jammu. * The Valley is only 10% of J&K state in geographical area. * Only 10-15% of the Muslims of the Valley are anti-India. * It is members of this small minority of Islamists in J&K that were responsible, along with their Pakistani guests, for the rape, murder and ethnic cleansing of hundreds of thousands of native Hindus from the Valley. The last thing these people should get is "empathy" and "understanding", much less the mollycoddling that has been going on due to a cowardly, flaccid and bankrupt central policy of New Delhi. If they don't want to be in India, let them get out or be thrown out. Enough is enough.

Kashmir generates more emotions among us more than for Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur. Imagine how emotional our previous generations would have been in 1948 considering many of neo urbanites less religious, less patriotic than those. In that case wonder how Nehru could be so submissive, so compromised on Kashmir that he was withholding army action until Patel stormed into that crucial meeting and the rest is a History. Was Nehru intellectually incapacitated to be decisive or was a compromised scoundrel? Are we running a pro Pak policy as our State Policy in practice since then except during forced Wars on India. Beyond 1990, it turned for worse establishing undeclared Caliphate of Kashmir! Usual reprimand I get, Its so easy to blame Vajpayee, Modi but will they be able to solve 50yrs subterfuge rule of Congress&co in 5yrs? But Modi seems following same appeasement of separatists in Kashmir and no change in the policy which is hurting even many of his supporters.

Kashmir is a quasi-sharia state whose continued existence is guaranteed by the Indian armed forces and it’s solvency secured from the Indian treasury. Those that come in power in Kashmir are outrightly anti-India like the Abdullahs or the Muftis or downright spineless like the current BJP that has played second fiddle to the coalition partner PDP. Those at power should learn from Russia & China . With much weaker claim over Chechnya and Xinjiang, Russia & China handled insurgency with an iron fist & scant regard for international reaction, Kashmir too has no other solution. Absolving terrorists by withdrawing cases filed against them and coming up with secularist punch lines like “ek haath mein laptop, ek haath mein quran” won’t do any good in the nation’s interest as all the hype around “de-radicalisation” is a farcical tune leading to suicide.
