@Pappy Van Winkle There is alot you don't understand. Alot of the funding comes from Palm Tree Plantation Corporations forced to pay for the habitat destruction they have done. They pay to keep protestors at bay. Nothing is what it appears to be. The sad part is how the Indonesian governments have allowed the butchering of two thousand year old lush rain forest trees to plant hundreds of miles of palm trees. Ouch! Talk about global warming! And yes if only money hungry corporations gave out of morality for the children of Indonesia what a world that would be but greed will never share.

@Pappy Van Winkle Your whataboutism helps nobody. According to that logic help would only be okay if it's for the worst off creature in the world, and all others, that are also bad, but not quite as bad off, can fend for themselves. It's possible to work on several fronts at the same time, you know? And it's okay to help in one case, even if you cannot help all the others.

It's more than a little disingenuous to call these animals "wild" when they get all their food from humans on feeding platforms.
@NomadicMat3 жыл бұрын
Sadly the title - "Rescued Orangutans from the illegal Indonesian pet trade have a meal offered to them by the staff from the International Animal Rescue Orangutan Centre, Borneo" was a tad bit too long. As we are all about learning in this space, you should know that this offering of food in the video represents a very small part of these animals diets, and is normally only accepted by the Orangutans during the winter months, when the jungle is not producing a large amount of fruits. So I would say its disingenuous to say that these animals are getting all their food from humans, but I'd lean more towards uninformed. But now you know :) Like, subscribe and stay positive brother.

It irritates me to no end having to know there’s a large mass of people with their annoying cameras , spectating ... this Isn’t remotely fair or decent behavior ... let them live in peace for once , intrusive humans ... omg it’s as annoying as hell valley in japan .. he didn’t acknowledge the Alfa male ? Ive watched them at the santuary on here,and I also studied primates in college for 4 yrs,and they were named the laziest primate of all,kinda makes sense,because they share 97% of our DNA doesn't it.They dont even use much effort when they mate,ever seen orangutans mating?,the male doesnt put that much energy into it lol it.,,I know how much of their habitat is being destroyed,it doesnt take a genius to know that,its common knowledge isnt it?Next time you should try to not use sarcasm,esp if the person hasnt been rude to you,sarcasm only shows Immaturity.
