Good analysis, though imo noodle doesn’t necessarily seem “happy” . My perception of that scene makes her seem really lonely and that she kind of wishes she could be in feel good inc with the others. probably because I believe she was still a child in this phase (or portrayed as such at least) and there is that longing to want to do what older people do and when you get to do those things only then do you realize how much freedom you had in your youth. Both noodle and 2-D see the grass as greener on the other side of the fence.

I really dug this video and take on the song. I took "Feel Good Inc" as a representation of the internal conflict of an artist. Trying to find balance(/or deciding) between creating to create and creating to achieve fame in the industry. 2D being an artist that got to the highest possible level only to realize its not as great as he thought. Murdoch of course loves it & Noodle represents the artist that didnt want fame & fortune.

Wow, that's actually really cool! I've always thought of feel good in as a commentary on enviormental change and how it's impossible to escape it. All the adults are stuck in a stupor, not really caring about there situation and 2-d seems to be the only one who seems to care, all while the only truly happy, or at least oblivious, character is noodle, who is used to represent the state of being a child, not quite aware of how much trouble there in but still enjoying life and having hope for the future. Again, this is just my interpretation after hearing that the entirety of demon dayz was writers became more aware of how bad of a state things were in, but this makes a lot of sense too seeing as how gorillaz as a whole is about commenting on popular music and it's industry. Great work on the video!

You can see the noodle and the windmill screen in many ways The first one what you said I see it also In a way of That it could represent adulthood and also addiction Noodle may not have the same power or stability as the adults do but she’s more free and as high as the tower of feel good inc She isn’t trapped as 2D is But of course my way of understanding is only from the visuals because my English is a bit too slow to keep up with them Thank you for teaching me more about the music ^^

I think the message of the song is that we're so wrapped up with entertainment (feeling good) that we forget what really matters in our lives.

In the music video the tower was once white, and down in the city it likely is kept that way, but from the top we can see that 2D is looking out of a dingy and tarnished portion of the once ivory tower

If you're looking for something with some incredibly deep lyrics to dissect, I'd highly recommend "Ize of The World" by my favorite band ever, The Strokes, that or "Human Sadness" by Julian Casablancas + The Voidz, another fantastic, emotional roller coaster of a song

*please do more gorillaz/damon albarn analysis.* i may be a bit biased, but Damons lyrical influence is intense in every aspect. Look into songs in his Everyday Robots album, ive always wanted to see analysis of his lyrics especially in this album. There's also his work for Dr Dee, which with enough historical context makes sense, but even then the analogies and metaphors are so abstract. His work can be so extremely vague and i think its just a gold mine for artistic analysis. It might be fun for you to look into as well!

My fave Gorillaz character is Noodle because I like how she's drawn, to me she looks innocent and dangerous at the same time. A guy from high school used to call me Noodle (And he was Murdaugh) but I don't know about her, I'll have to check out that video about the story of the characters to see who she is and why the comparison.
