Hi Vidhya, my son is 3 month old, what is ur opinion about introducing the 'lovely board books' to him. Also suggest some more books which comes in affordable price. I always feel, bringing the kids close to nature will work the same, or even better than books. Take them to your garden, show them the flowers, leaves, trees, insects. Show them the things at our home, we have plenty of things to introduce them. Why can't we engage our children into it, for which we do not have to spend lot of money. Because, i have seen the books for kids are very costly, which cannot be affordable for a middle class family. What you say? Your content of videos are really good and helpful :)

Books are only one of the ways you could engage your child, nothing replaces interacting with nature and people in their environment. You could buy used books too once they start showing interest.

People commonly think the same way, but it is changing because of moms like you and me, so don't get discouraged. Try a library near you, or cut pictures from magazines that are suitable for babies and put in an empty album, or stick them on a few papers. Amazon also sells second hand books, try them. Mam... How to wash new born baby'cloths... I mean which detergnts r best fr softness... N last rinse with dettol is preferable or not ?? Mild wash shud b done with hand or in machine??

I used a mild detergent, and put them in the washing machine. I don't use dettol, it is too harsh.
