Curious creativity -- I like it; my 'fan art' is often connected to music because I am inspired either by lyrics to a song, the album cover art, or posters created by artists for concerts.

Oh That’s inspirational! As a part of musician, I like the idea of feeling lyrics and melody more to express through artwork! Thank you for the idea, now I am curious to try! 🌼

I always enjoy developing creativity! These are some great things to try to broaden our styles or subject matter or materials… all great things to explore. If we look around, we can find new inspiration pretty much anywhere, which I’m so thankful for! Great inspirational tips, Chika! You never fail to make me smile!😊

For me, you are super good example who are able to do many types of styles and still it could tell that you did. 😄 I am still inspired that you got one artwork from a thrift shop and made it into your original. You are full of creativity!

Omg. Is it just me, or are you using a new camera? Hahaha. Anyway, thank you for this!! I'm actually looking to expand my creativity, so as to avoid art blocks and also so I can keep drawing and improving. This was a really great timing for me! Bless you. 💛

I too am usually gravitated toward soft pastel colors, and I think I've been using highlighters a bit too much LOL. These exercises are really good though, definitely will use them for teaching arts or in creative classes someday. Object combination is for sure interesting because I like the idea of yokai, since I'm a fan of Monster Hunter game series. Now that you have mentioned it, I see it so clearly now in the game itself. I wasn't so sure about rules either, but doing Inktober itself is sticking to the rules when you follow the prompts. Most people don't even use colors in that challenge. I do think it's a good exercise to challenge yourself like you said. And even Hokusai Katsushika got an extra 5 years, I doubt that he would be satisfied and call himself a great artist :) Fan art is something that I like doing for sure. I mean, look at my profile picture :D And I think your perspective study was very successful! It reminds me of the time when I was creating the cover art for a book, it surely wasn't easy to get the perspective right. Anyway, I really appreciate this video :) Mata Raishu!

Hello, Alex! Yes, I definitely see a lot of pastel colors in your art! The snail and the mug combination that you drew were so cute and soothing! You're right, even if Hokusai had lived another five years, he’d probably have said, “If only I had five more…” It is really admirable, but at the same time, it makes me think he must have been incredibly hard on himself😅 I’m still struggling with perspective too. While I know it’s super useful for drawing buildings and landscapes, I can’t help but feel a bit allergic to it sometimes (haha). Still, I know I need to set aside time to sit down and really study it properly... Anyway, see you again tomorrow! 👋

@@ogawachikako I forgot to mention that you have a nice cool tint on your glasses :D Looking like a rock star! Actually I didn't really "combine" the snail and the mug because I misunderstood your prompt. I just thought what would the snail do if he see a mug with warm tea and able to get out of his shell, and then I thought of the monkeys in hot spring in Hokkaido hahahahaha. By the way, I watched KenFrog-san's livestream on Instagram the other day we talked about you a little bit since he mentioned he'd only been to the US once and I mentioned that I am in Louisiana and he mentioned food, and I mentioned Tabasco sauce, and then I said you and him can come visit so I can bring you guys to go eat some good food. He's such a nice person :) See you tomorrow!
