Two years ago, my mom died and my dad was diagnosed with dementia shortly after. I became my dad's caretaker while trying to grieve two loses. I could barely get out of bed most days. Some days, the only thing that got me to get up was that I needed to take care of my dad and my pets. Then I started writing again, and it led me to my life now - engaged and building my own business! Still feel lost sometimes, but I think about those days now, and it reminds me of what one little step can do.

I've struggled badly with anxiety , and depression. last year I got divorced. And I been in therapy for a year, and I just started rebuilding my life. I went back to school and graduated. I'm starting to feel 80% happier than I was last year. I have the right people and pieces around me. I'm ready for the future!

@@monamoore5471 I thought the same too until last year and this year... I'm still out of work... I mean businesses are slowly picking up but I feel like there's far too many job seekers than there are jobs out there and who knows maybe when Victoria (Australia) is gonna have a fourth lockdown... I hope and pray there won't be another pandemic... I'm so over it.

"Pain is Inevitable and suffering is optional" Every since I stopped crying back and forward about how life pushes me down after every obstacle I surpassed, I always thought to myself that even though I'll always struggle, I rather struggle for the best reasons. And one of those reason was that it was way better to struggle getting something I dreamed about than struggling to pay bills. I believe this is one of the biggest reasons I can turn negativity into positive fuel and motivation. Thanks.

I felt lost when I returned from my Peace Corps service, dealing with speaking English full-time again and reverse culture shock. After two years of having limited food options, the cereal aisle had so many choices. The micro-decisions were overwhelming. Back on Track: Took baby steps going to the grocery store. I gave myself little challenges each shopping visit (time limit or limited things to buy). My tolerance grew for mentally processing so many options.

Hope you're feeling better soon. I love the four tips to recovering from the suffering. We all need a reminder once in a while that the pain is different than dealing with the suffering. Just recognizing the differences can make a big change in what we do next. It gives me hope, the hope that life will be better when I get past it. Check... I'm back! Thanks for all your inspiring videos.

These things can be very hard and almost impossible on a very bad depressive day. I guess if your not dealing with depression these are great hints. I'm planning on trying to take better care of myself, I feel I need to do this to truly move on instead of shutting myself off from the world and hoping it will pass. You almost have to look your troubles in the eye instead of avoiding them. What I can say about the bad days is do what you need to do and do what you can. Try to think optimistically, think of what you have and not what you don't.

Great video. I like to think that suffering has meaning though. Yes, I might be in pain but there is someone who has it worse than I do. It helps to offer that suffering for somebody else. It gets me thinking outside myself and before I know it I'm not thinking about how bad my life might be at that moment.

The phrase or citation of Mark Twain is: The secret of getting ahead is getting started. But sometimes we don't know what task we'll begin to do first then we need to do every our task (tasks that we pick up for it) for only five minutes and then we'll feel what task is right for us at this moment then DO IT GET MOMENTUM and DO THE NEXT TASK and etc.

I worked hard and lived in an awesome city and left the rat race. I successfully built up a real estate portfolio. I lived off the 2 rentals and lived in a third. All by the lake in Chicago. I loved life. Travelling and became a professional photographer. Then in 2015 I went into an investment out of state and lost so much that it forced me to sell my rental to break even. But i did not recover and depression took me down. Now by 2018 i lost everything and feel dead inside. Had to move back to Ohio after being a success in Chicago. I miss my old life. So depressed. My lifestyle may have been too important and maybe God saw it as an idol in my life. Hard to be poor after success.
