I play 5 all the time because I took the time to actually learn Akira. The one character that I'm proud to say I know and play. If he isn't in the next DOA I'll still play 5.

I think it's because the controls and fighting engine was more on point imo and the fact it kept the beloved tag mode so 4 people can play at once made it for fun for more replay value. It also received way more updates and balancing patches than 6, 6 barely got any support and within like a year they stopped supporting the game

I swear characters with a high punch high punch string and a high punch mid punch string are always scary to block . Leon can go low just as fast as he can go mid on his normal string on the third hit .. I wish ein had that . he would be so annoying

haha mid k counter after 3p on block is hilarious . like mid kick is the only real random thing you can do after. it's absolutely a bad option since it goes no where and is not likely to to even land into anything meaningful so it funny. he had literally no reason to counter mid k haha. but I guess it your fault for throwing a useless haha but hi or mid punch would a been a more acceptable counter after the blocked mid haha

DOA 5 is still fun despite not as good as DOA 4. DOA 6 is a massive disappointment.
