But I can't respect a dev team and direction where every new character has weird looking moves where I can't visually understand wether a move is a high a low or a mid,and just have to "lab" him. I can't believe the detail on that stage. The lighting, the depth, the layering, it's insane for that to not just be a part of some cutscene and then seamlessly transition. I don't think people are processing all the assets going into having a 3D stage like that. Will love to see how optimized they intend to make this and if it's going to be a PC focused title.

@@JIX9ISLER1986Yes it does. Tekken started out as a “realistic” 3-D fighter just like VF, but over the years it got more and more over the top to where now it’s basically just 3-D Street Fighter. Fireballs, super moves, colorful flashes all over the screen, etc. Starting out it was way more grounded, especially in terms of its portrayal of martial arts and the lack of fireballs. Yea it always had bears, kangaroos, and “devils” but the gameplay was much more grounded. VF maintained its integrity while Tekken continued to deviated further and further from what made it “Tekken”.

METER DECONFIRMED LETS GO The game looks so good, i have a theory abt Akira's fighting style since it looks less of Bajiquan but more...of a desorganized kick boxing/street fighting style I think this fighting style he has is either a placeholder, or after living in the slums for some story reasons he ditched BajiQuan and being a martial artist altogether, and maybe some younger/new character (maybe even stella) will try to get him back up together either to learn from them or just get him back to martial arts where we saw him in the reveal trailer they showed us first where he had a proper baji quan style (something akin to the typical Karate Kid plot) It would be very interesting imo

I'm guessing that stamina meter is gonna be a thing they are thinking about implementing, cause that damage is insane. That meter seems to be stamina or possibly a mechanic to actually reward repeated aggression with more damage. Also I'm guessing stage hazards are gonna be a focus in this game too cause this is why they chose a crowded Indian market as their first stage.

akira's animations look nothing like akira moves. Pretty sure this is earlier footage than the little snippet of akira vs not sarah from the vf direct or whatever the fuck, since this is a pre-prod concept video and I'm pretty sure that was in engine. Also he moved like Akira in that. If they can get close to how cool blocks look in this in the real game, I'm all for it, that part looks amazing. I think this as gameplay can work. They just need to get rid of unrealistic things like juggles and crouching, and replace juggles with stuns and stagger animations And to make this work they need to add an evade button as an alternative to guarding. So two defensive buttons (guard, evade), and two offensive buttons (punch, kick).
