Imagine a world where Dark played with a brain and didnt give away so many free goals through over aggression and shocking positioning. He would be genuinely unstoppable. You never know, this all out speed and dash arc, could just be preperation for him to slow himself down long-term and start applying it to just be faster than everybody else with accuracy and eventually, restraint.

Yeah that's what I see for him long term. He's like a mad scientist in the lab cooking up wild new starts and not caring about wins or losses in the short term. It really feels like he's challenging himself to make the most wild saves and clips in order to develop his skills.

He basically did what Joreuz did in his rise and peak in the 1v1 scene. Joreuz stopped cooking with as many mechs since he joined RLCS tho and wasn't pushing the boundaries of mechs quite like dark is. I think you're absolutely right though. He would be unstoppable if he played safer in some situations. All part of the process though if he truly wants it. He's clearly skilled enough on being probably the fastest and most aggressive players of all time. Just a matter of dialing it in or fine tuning the style to be slightly more balanced in more critical situations to eliminate overextensions and such

I dont get why so many people are hating on dark, specially on the live chat he is so fun to watch and genuinely makes me want to play the game and try those crazy dashes anyways, in my opinion he is breaking the meta, despite giving away some kind of dumb goals, but every time I watch his gameplay it looks like he is putting his skills to test and pushing the boundaries, it's way more fun to watch than a regular top 20 1v1 I hope he starts creating content because I would 100% watch anything he uploads, even freeplay or workshop maps, bro is just nutty

Dark's movement really feels like you're stealing a glimpse into the future of pro play. He seems much more focused on constantly pushing the limits of what's viable within already established mechs, rather than constantly trying to reinvent the wheel. Even when he's objectively dominating a matchup, it really doesn't give me that same sense of "okay well now he's just in freeplay" that you might get watching someone like Joreuz, for example, whenever he finds himself in a similar situation. Maybe that's just me idk. edit: That's no shade on Joreuz btw, he just has a distinctly different flavour from Dark in how he chooses to utilize his insane mechanical ability.

@briant9689 I understand, but please understand that just bc someone is mechanically skilled doesn't mean they are entertaining. To me the enjoyment I get from watching rl is the intensity of the match, the "story" if you will. Each player bringing their own "argument". Saying dark is entertaining bc he is mechanical is like saying a movie is cool bc it has explosions in it to me. I thought more people shared this opinion but I guess I was wrong.

I am from Germany too. I was for taylan. Darks POV is just so insane. You really get headaches in the first few minutes watching him play. Taylan did a great job on demoing dark a lot. But his mechanics are also pretty decent.

It's funny how RL games are literally like soccer: a player makes a goal, some are trashing the other player out while others say that who scored was lucky and they didn't deserve the goal.
