About Christy Carlson Romano:
Welcome to the official Christy Carlson Romano KZbin channel! Christy has been a working actress and singer since she was 6 years old. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 14 to star in the Disney Channel franchise, Even Stevens as Ren Stevens alongside Shia LaBeouf. Christy enjoyed many years with Disney gaining an Emmy nomination for her voice work as Kim Possible and starring on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast. She went on to balance her college career at Barnard College, Columbia University with filming movies for ABC Family including: ‘Campus Confidential’, ‘Taking Five’, ‘The Cutting Edge 2: Going for the Gold’, and ‘The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream’. Christy returned to Broadway in her mid twenties and learned to be a puppeteer in the Tony-Award winning ‘Avenue Q’. Christy was married to her husband on New Years Eve , 2013 in Banff, Canada after having met in a screenwriting class in college. She became impassioned with directing and made her debut in Lionsgate’s “Christmas All Over Again”. I met Fefe in 2003 before her CD came out. She was amazing and signed like 10 postcards for my friends who couldn't go to the show. I worked the concession stand at a local club. I was so excited to see her on your show.

The first time I crashed a car, I was blasting Fefe Dobson’s self-titled album 🤣 I was on my way to choir practice and went over a concrete block retaining wall 😅 I cried, finished practice, and went home and (probably) watched Even Stevens afterward lol. Aside from that awkward memory, this whole interview brought me so much nostalgia from my high school days, finally finding myself as I identified with and felt best with pop-rock/pop-punk music, fashion, etc. I also listened to LP (way before they got canceled), AFI, saw Fefe as an inspiration… so yeah. I appreciate all of this.

Was hoping for more of a deep dive into her new album… who did she collaborate with, the genre, what were her inspirations while writing. I also would have been curious to find out what happened with her and Island after Joy and the projects that didn’t come out when her singles Legacy and Save Me from L.A. were being promoted. I didn’t find the talk about navigating social media to be all that engaging if I’m being completely honest. But I appreciate you for having her on your show!

Ever since I was 11/12 years old, I’ve always felt that Fefe was and still is to this day the ultimate star. It felt so good to see her as a young kid on tv. Not only because she was a strong presence who happened to be a girl/young woman at the time, but a black girl/young woman at that. It was awesome to see someone who looked like me playing the music I liked! Ever since then, I fell in love with her and listened to all of her music and albums. Fefe I have a confession I’ve never heard any of your music . I’ve had your posted on my wall since I was very young like maybe 12/13 and realizing it was because representation. I was a black girl who lovedddss the skateboard style but I also lived in the hood and had a parent who didn’t understand originality .
