With this routine, Cheng Fei earned a 15.750. It was the highest floor score from an official competition on the new system, a record only broken by Simone Biles at 2015 Worlds EF with a 15.800 and 8 counting skills.

I like her 2004 music a lot better. I also noticed she lands with her chest down quite frequently, she shows a lot of power i'm surprised her coaches didn't correct that before the Games. She would get slaughtered in the new COP for that.
@blue_manatee38956 жыл бұрын
I agree with you- her 2004 routine (with music from Don Quijote) was great. This music, however, is from the Yellow River Concerto, which is a famous Chinese piece and would obviously be a good fit for the Beijing games. (Although I definitely liked her 2004 routine more)
@leanderhartley49875 жыл бұрын
Its because during that time in gymnastics, a lot of gymnasts would land with their chest down, then take a step back and raise their chest to symbolise power (this was especially true for the Chinese)
@rockymcduffie86033 жыл бұрын
@@leanderhartley4987 That doesnt symbolize power. It symbolizes a lack of power and poor technique.
