I was back packing in Australia in 97, went to a theater in South Yarra/Melbourne with my good friend Søren and saw this movie. We was 20 years old and still so clear remember afterwards How we was crying at torrack road afterwards. absolutely my favorite movie, Kirsten Scott Thomas, Juiliette Binoche and Rolf Fiennes - You were absolutely amazing.

I saw this film for the first time in 1998, when I was 20. It made such a big impact on me then and it still does. I don't know how many times I've seen it through the years, but it's not few.

... man-sobbing-movie, there is something about the scene when he carries his dead woman out of the cave after returning that cuts into the male heart, this is one of the few movies that make MEN weep.

Questo film è un capolavoro assoluto. Pochi films riescono ad emozionare e coinvolgere emotivamente. Due grandissimi attori, Ralph Fiennes e Jiuliette Binoche.

I just finished the book which I thought was beautiful. The technical problems of my computer prevented me from enjoying the film clips, sound faded in and out. I usually like books better than movies made from them. I really loved the book.

Virginia. Handy the movie is pretty good too, try and watch it again on dvd or bluray, you'll see how good it is
@raleraka44239 жыл бұрын
+Virginia. Handy the movie omits the scene in the house where main hero is naked and looking for top secretdocuments . it also omits the introduction to why local population tried to save the life of hero, and also the (medically sound way) how to cure 3d degree flash and skin burns. But both book and movie are deception , it is proven that Almasy was engaged in gathering info for Wehrmacht . Which was quite normal at the time. After all, he was a nobleman and his tradition of his family was to protect his country , right.

This sequence plays out my worst fear. It actually makes it hard for me to get close with a woman.
@Gatsby40212 жыл бұрын
