i personally like the placement of the 1/4"inch screw-hole for attaching selfie-stick extension, mono or tripods, etc better on the FIMI than where it is on the FeiyuTech, but the FeiyuTech is less cost than a FIMI PALM or a DJI OSMO. FIMI's footage is slightly saturated and contrasty compared to either the DJI OSMO or FeiyuTech Pocket Camera. The FeiyuTech can appear a slightly "flat" color profile, but that is fine, easily color graded since at 100Mbps bitrate, you have high density of pixels each jam-packed with color science data you can edit. The sensor-size in either FIMI PALM or FeiyuTech Pocket are both fairly small, so the very minor size difference I haven't seen any impact on image quality plus or minus not manageable in post-edit as mentioned previous. Overall, factoring in the price differential, I agree with EVAN (near end of video) concluding that the FeiyuTech is definitely a quality bargain value buy, I personally think is *the* *best* *value* of the most popular current pocket cameras. Decent stabilization + Excellent battery Too ? a no brainer...

I just bought the cam, I notice we can shoot in log, do you know how we can add the feiyu log to rec709 Lut on to screen, so we can see the picture normally.

I don't plan on vlogging outside much, but I'm on a budget. Video and audio clarity are important to me. Would a pocket camera or or another type be more suitable for occasional indoor vlogs?

I would consider a second hand camera like a Panasonic g80 with a lens. Its not that much more expensive, the bigger sensor gives you much better image quality, especially in low light. Some of those Panasonic's have a mic in , indoors the use of a gimbal is minimal.

The Feiyu Pocket doesn't support an external microphone, which is a drawback in my opinion. I think that the FIMI PALM 2 is much better in this regard.
