Wasn't so impressed with this board at first, but turned out better than expected. If your willing to go through the modding, it has a lot of potential to sound way above its class.
NOTE: For the final modifications, they will 100% void warranty. If you wish to follow what I did, please procced with caution. It is your own risk and I am not responsible for any damages that may occur.

Other Options:
I did want to talk about other similar options on the market. First, we have the TH80 from epomaker. This keyboard also uses a 75% layout with a knob. However, the arrow cluster is embedded instead of being isolated. Whether this is good or not depends on your preference. Like the ik75, it also has three connectivity modes with programmable RGB. However the TH80 uses south-facing sockets instead. I believe it is tray mounted, so you won’t be able to try the case mods I did. Furthermore, it uses a 3800 mAh battery. This keyboard comes in a full kit meaning it includes switches, stabilizers and keycaps. The second option would be the NJ80 wireless. This keyboard also uses a 75% layout with a knob, similar to the TH80. Like the others, it features three connectivity modes with programmable RGB; however it uses south-facing sockets like the TH80 and its also tray mounted. Furthermore, it uses a 4800 mAh battery and unlike the others, a brass plate. This adds weight and makes the overall sound higher pitched and more pronounced. So yeah, these are all great options. Of course, this is far from a full comparison, I suggest you go watch some review videos for that. I just provided a brief overview of them for a general idea of which one may fit your needs.

(1:16) Thanks for doing a comparison with the GMMK Pro! I bought an IK75 because I wanted the GMMK Pro Wireless that Glorious themselves won't make! As such, I've been trying to do research into if I can install a GMMK Pro top plate and/or knob on the IK75. (2:33) Thanks for pointing that out! I do want the stock GMMK Pro typing experience, but with a Bluetooth connection to my tablet (that I use for reduced distraction typing sessions)! Most computer keyboard enthusiasts seem to go after the sound, but I go after the physical feel instead!
@YBBK

No problem, glad I helped you out! For your plate question, I don’t think it will work as gmmk pro plates have these weird proprietary tabs on the edges that won’t allow it to fit with other similar pcbs. However, i’m pretty sure you can use the gmmk pro knob though
@kbhasi

@@YBBK Ah! Thanks for the info! I'm waiting to receive my IK75 before I take a look to see if GMMK Pro knobs would fit. Edit: I meant 'top case', not 'top plate', but I'm sure you know what I meant. Edit 2: GMMK Pro knobs do fit on the IK75, but the backlight directly shines through as the knob is backlit! I'm sure someone has a printable template for a circular thing to reflect the light away when using a GMMK Pro knob, though.

if you wanna de-lube a bunch of switches make sure to put the stems and housings in a minute bath of the purest isopropyl alchohol you can find and let it dry for at least 8 hours. soapy water can take a really long time to properly dry from the leaf's of the housings and will screw up your switches. also get a proper switch puller those metal ones hurt to use

I wonder if it's possible to maybe just cut out a hole where the the batteries are and then strap a thin sheet of brass or something to the back of the case and then rest the batteries in the resulting space where the plastic of the case would be could be a decent compromise? Do you know why this keyboard have 2 batteries? It looks like the bit where you play in the batteries on the PCB is right above the batteries. Is this what’s limiting the flex? What if you reposition the batteries avoid contact between these two parts? You can also consider swapping them out for smaller batteries. Just some thoughts💭
@YBBK
@YBBK 2 жыл бұрын
Not too sure why its split into two, I assume its to allow for the case supports. And yes, its the battery connector thats limiting movement. The batteries are already in the best place as the case gets more and more shallow downwards. You probably could swap them out for smaller batteries as well however I'm fine with the current build and not really looking to spend any more money on it lol

I actually sold the board a few months back but haven't heard any issues from the buyer. As for the switches popping out, I experienced something similar which I went over in the video. All I simply did was install the plate standoffs.

I believe the NT75 is very similar so it should work fine. Reminder that it is your own risk.

@@YBBK with the battery installed did you noticed any difference in flex with case foam compared to without it? In my unit the case foam definitely reduced the flex, so I got rid of it. I wonder what kind of material should I replace the case foam with, maybe silicone pour?
@YBBK
@YBBK 2 жыл бұрын
@@Anti3D-0 there probably is a slight change in flex without the case foam however it’s very minuscule. I doubt there is a real change in feel. It’s mainly the battery that stops flex. Replacing the case foam with other alternatives probably won’t increase flex. They might change the sound though
