Dude this board is insane. I will definitely consider getting it and then millmaxing it so i can have my hotswap support EDIT: the curved back of the board and the large chin are kind of annoying, maybe they change this in R2. I think the curved back of the board make it seem less premium or elegant. EDIT 2: Magnets = magic

I think the reason hot swap isnt offered is because of how flexible the board is (like most other gasket mount boards + flexible plate combo). Your switches would just keep popping out.

Very well put together video super well done! Those keycaps combination sounds real crispy. Really enjoyed the more natural sounding less robotic voice over this time around. Also just a friendly suggestion, maybe instead of doing a monkeytype typing test you can type out your supporters names or something like that. I dunno just throwing an idea out there. Super pog vid looking forward for what's more to come in the future for sure!

IDK if its been done but i thought pondered the idea of instead of using springs using magnets with both south poles facing each other so they repelled each other. In theory it would be a pretty smooth force actuation but idk its just a weird theory.

Cool looking board but I’m not impressed with the sound test. I’m guessing it’s due to the gasket mount and the gel pads. Part of the sound we love from keyboards come from how the case handles resonance, maybe getting rid of the resonance in the case put too much focus on the switches and caps sound profile, which comes off as more of a plasticy sound.

As stated in the video, I think the really high pitched sound is a bad combo play from PBT keycaps, a stainless steel plate, and Tangerines, all of which are known to lead to higher pitched (plasticy) sounds

@@HipyoTech yeah that sounds correct to me as well, there’s a bunch of variables when it comes to sound. The harder materials of the plate along with the higher pitched tone of the tangies may have contrasted the vibration dampening of the gaskets to much. This board will probably be paired better with a softer plate and deeper sounding switches to complement the mount style as opposed to contrast it.

There have been several people who have experienced zapped PCBs for their keyboards. I think it's a justifiable precaution to have.

People have frequently experienced zapping their keyboards, and these protection circuits are here to protect the microcontroller from being damaged permanently. Even though most boards have it, some still experience damage from zapping their boards due to static electricity so it's clearly not a solution to everything, but most certainly helps a little bit.
