Buddy of mine is a privateer and did a bunch of nationals this year. My only takeaway, this sport is corrupt AF. Using sound testing to void privateers' qualifying times and protect the factory boys at Southwick was a particularly nice move (which did not affect my buddy, but did affect others).

Filming the crashes is CRAZY I recall during SX last year they showed and replayed Austin Forkners NEAR DEATH crash then also used the footage for future races! Even Austin himself has said "he couldn't believe they not only showed the footage but several camera angles"! This is absurd what Davey is doing to low level media outlets

The most important thing when you have a policy is that you enforce it uniformly. Processes are in place for a reason. There is no "control of a narrative". You can't violate established policy and then play the victim mentality role. It's all clearly posted and documented stuff. As much as I love Matty, I pretty sure we’re all missing something. Taking a small clip of a crash with your phone is fine, but doing your own broadcast and commentary of a sporting event hasn’t been aloud for a very long time without the rights and permission. Technically what Matty was doing at a professional event is illegal and has real consequences. There are many legal issues not only with the league or sanctioning body, but with the riders too. The riders sign to give permision to NBC and Peacock when they sign up for the series. Matty doesn’t have the rights to use their names and personal likeness for commercial use. I get it we all loved his videos. Was great at the amateurs as well. But Matty needs to cross his T’s and dot his I’s if he wants to do what he’s been doing.

It’s cause it was amateurs crashing, and sometimes the promoters don’t have insurance on practice days so when someone fills and amateur crashing then if anyone is filming the amateur can use it as proof to sue mxsports for not having insurance and they have filmed proof of dangerous acts performed by amateurs on a non insured course
