thank you for reacting. SB19 had it rough. They were bashed so much even at the beginning for not being enough: talent, looks, skills, you name it. Ken especially so. He came from a really poor family in the province. He was so poor his parents had to go to overseas to find work. He essentially was orphaned and lived with his grandparents. When he went to Manila to join the group, the taxicab driver cheated him with an overpriced fare. He had nowhere to live and crashed in his auntie's place, sleeping on the floor. He had no money and his groupmates just helped him and shared their food with him. And tragically, it was during the time they were on the rise that his grandparents passed away. I think that they were recording the song 'Mapa" which is essentially a love letter to good parents everywhere that he found out his grandma died. I think they had to pause the recording as he burst into tears and couldn't continue singing. At their very first huge concert, everyone's parents came on stage and he always had no one beside him but the group/team surprised him by having his elder sister and uncle come. He was so surprised that he cried. Everyone at the concert heard him crying because he fell to his knees and his sister and uncle hugged him. There are video clips of those. What's infuriating is that there are still people who hate him because they don't think he's good enough. That's why he's so special. He's a very good person, actually. He was supporting his family even though he didn't have enough.

Hoy ang OA mo. Grabe ka maka poor kay Ken they had rough time but not so poor. May poor ba na pinag aral siya sa Manila TIP for College then may poor ba na naka iphone siya at naka jordans na shoes at pinamigay lang sa friends niya sa mindanao before heading to manila to study. Oo he struggle before joining SB19 because his parents cut him off due to his choice of being a dancer than going to school kaya siya pinatigil at pinauwi ng mindanao at hindi na siya binigyan allowance while nasa mindanao di na sana siya pag aralin ng parents niya kc nagtampo magulang niya pero lola niya ang sumalo at pinag aral siya sa CDO but then again tumigil siya ulet kc nag audition sa sb balik manila that is when the time na hindi na tlga siya kinakausap ng magulang niya for 2 yrs sa sobrang galit na 2nd time na niya na neglect ang pag aaral. Wag kasi mag papaniwala agad sa kwento ni chuck hindi accurate lahat. And btw Ken was born in malaysia pero pinauwi sila ng ate niya sa pinas mag aral while parents niya nagstay sa malaysia kc may work and they're trying to get the cetizenship that is why hindi siya umuuwi ng pinas.

Ken grew up in a church,his grandfather and father are both pastors,and his grandpaarents are the ones who took care of him and his sister because his parents worked overseas,and according to him they were very poor.he missed his parents care during his childhood days.i think that is one of the aches in his heart.but now his parents went back home and they are reunited as a whole family

The beginning story of SB19 is basically this song. Talk about crawling from the ground up. They have earned every recognition they are receiving right now. They still have haters and doubters at this moment but the fans (A'tin) has stuck with them and have grown exponentially. Actually Ache is the last song in the album. The beginning song of the album is Foes. Foes and Ache are not one of the 7 sins. So, pls listen to Foes first then followed by the 7 sins…Envy, Greed, Wrath, Lust, etc…Then listen again to Ache. Felip is telling a story. A story that is not necessarily all from his life experiences but what he sees happening in the world.

They had a bunch of hurdles, turbulence,our own people spat them out and never believed in them. there were a lot of doubts a lot of pain that the boys went through had to go through even until this day.. there are still a lot. but they keep fighting. they want to introduce "change" I think not just musically, but as well the mindset of people. But they are getting there, a lot of people are now noticing the TALENT these boys... sorry MEN have.

8:15 Yes. As a group, and as individual artists, they did go through a lot in the Philippine Music industry. You have to understand that at the time they were formed, KPOP was already super popular and for them to try to do something similar...whew...the hate, the bashing, the mainstream media condescension they received was another level...for years...and they had to push through that barrier as a new artist while finding their own sound. So if you hear about new PPOP groups emerging (there are now a lot), they HAVE to give credit to SB19 because they didn't need to go through the years of hate they experienced from the very beginning. This is apart from their individual struggles especially when most of them came from underprivileged backgrounds. So imagine taking a shot at this at the expense finding a safer job to survive AND then going through a super competitive music industry without any major label/company backing them up, they literally crawled their way to the top.

If you listen to the whole album you will understand why "ache" is the last song and "foe" is the first song in the album, as basically felip's trying to convey in the beginning that all these 7 sins are our enemies in life which we easily get involved and overindulged into that will give us the pain in the end, and ache is like the redemption or condemnation of all these sins we commit that should not be passed down to our kids or to newer generations it is probably the reason why he brought children in the song, for me it is for us adults to introduce God to kids to avoid committing all these sins, I like how the whole album was made artistically as every song stays in the main concept of the album, at the same time Felip created them in different genres which made it more amazing, he's really an amazing artist, and i enjoyed most of the songs in this album.

I highly recommend you listen to the 9 tracks of the album in order. It started with Foes and then the 7 Sins and the last one is Ache. It is a redemption song. The album has a story itself. After you've listened to the whole album, you will fully understand the raw emotions he wants us to understand. It could be the feelings he felt or the feelings we felt at some point in our lives as humans. The whole album was masterfully created, like a painter with a blank canvas.
