Agree w u. So sad that Felip's masterpiece album is not given attention by mainstream, Philippine Music industry and Filipinos in general. Its so hard for Felip to break d norms. Only few appreciates his kind of music. Filipinos prefer ballads, love songs and for them, the best singers are the ones who can belt out (BIRIT). This is d reason why its difficult for Filipino artists to enter d international market. Evrytime filipino singers do a concert abroad, their audience are also filipinos . That is what Felip is doing, create music with international appeal bec his ultimate dream is to penetrate d int'll scene with international audience. Manifesting that Felip's ultimate dream will come true.

Thank you for this coach! That’s Felip! He always says that his music is his way of expressing what he feels. He is unapologetic and always tests boundaries. You are so right! He doesn’t follow the usual norm. Forget the structure. He just goes with how he feels. When this 7sins album was released, he even said that he knows not everyone will get his music, and that listeners may skip those that are not their type of songs. But listening to this album for me was quite an overwhelming journey. This was such a brave move for Felip and I love every song in the album. Pls check out Greed and Lust too. These songs are more on everyone’s alley. 😊 I secretly hope you listen to the rest of the songs as well and give them a chance, cause they showcase Felip’s versatility, creativity and wide range of vocals. His experimentation on every aspect of music making is just so refreshing! And like what he said in one of his songs here, he doesn’t care if not everyone gets it. He just does music that makes him feel good. It’s like music is his freedom wall. Music frees him from anything he wants to let go of, that’s why we feel every lyric of his songs. He is so unconventional but so amazing.

His eclecticism and non conformity of song structure adds elements of excitement and awe…. He ‘s way out of the bounds on norms, that’s how he expresses his emotions. During interviews or press cons u can see him silent, its because he is keeping his emotions, probably scared of making mistakes when using the native dialect because he was from the Southern part of the country where the language is different and has a deep accent, lots of toxic people criticise him about being “ bisaya”( southern region language). he masks his emotions by being nonchalant, then dismisses the comments, and being introverted all the more affects his feelings… his style of making music vents out the fire building up in him… so this is the result…. FELIP’s Music…. Such a MASTERPIECE!

In an interview, Felip revealed that Ache was the hardest track he recorded in the album bcoz he literally cried to bring out the genuine emotions. felip said in an interview that Ache is a redemption song in his slbum 7sins. sometimes i tried to review felip's life as a kid left by his patents to his grandparents at a tender age .thou he saidvthat he was given muvj love and attention by his grannies. we do jot kniw if he sent thru some deep loneliness groeibg w/out a mother to give him mother's warmth and momy's love... His expression of ache is so deep and unfathomable as if he was deprived of love ..and the void is still there or did felip experienced a broken relationship as a teenaget as expressed in his song Greed?
