Is this Felipe Souza from earlier vids on the channel? If not, is Felipe a pro, or if he's demolishing a 5.0, what is Felipe's rating?

Quite an educational video. Thanks Felipe and Nick! High balls are a real nightmare😵‍💫. I just wonder if high level players have issues with them or they simply posses advanced movement and technique so they are on autopilot with such balls. The real issue is the ball evaulation in terms of where exactly one should be at the point of contact. I guess it takes quite some time to be comfortable with the court positioning and swinging. So many things can go wrong here...

Thank you Milan. High balls are tricky even a female high level (not so much HL males), juniors, and at all rec levels.

Nick, respectfully, seems that Felipe needs to improve the rackethead acceleration, both on his forehand and serve's ending. I suggest a smaller handle size or a balance adjustement to the buttcap. Great work as always coach, thanks.

Indeed. I understand why he did it. Scared of comments and people's reaction which are for most part ignorant and stupid (just look at the comments about Felipe in the first video). People should learn how to deal with this and not being affacted. A video of bad match-up doesn't and shoudn't define someone as a player. A 5.0 is great ranking and it's normal to have bad days

@@Lucian86 Yeah I mean, if you dont wanna be commented on online or if youre not happy with your play dont agree to play for a YT Channel in the first place. I get why people wouldnt want to, its perfectly reasonable. Just think about it beforehand instead of ruining the product because of your Ego or insecurity

I think it is okay to change your mind ahead of a release. The main focus here is on Felipe's development, but some viewers might troll hard his opponent. To be honest, even after watching all of these 10 days transformation videos, I wasn't able to perceive Felipe's real level. So I didn't think he is far better than a 5.0k more somewhere 4.5 (that is obviously wrong). Probably more viewers underrate him and so the 5.0 guy might look poor on youtube. As a somewhere 4.0 player myself, I'd look like trash then. The problems are the lack of rationality and the lack of honesty with ourselves.

isn't 5.0 like crazy high level for an amateur club player? I am confused right now.

Would be great to have the match done again best of 3 sets in little to nil windy conditions. Makes nil sense though for Felipe's opponent to pull out of being in the film when Felipe has been in videos where he has lost. Felipe is probably around 8,25 UTR though one does not truly know anything until play in a tournament with that full tournament pressure. As Felipe beat the opponent 8-2 then his opponent would be lucky to be an 8 maybe less still. Would be interesting to see how Felipe goes hardcourt vs Milan again in the future because there were some good points and rallies in that practice match

@@TenisAmador I know this but think about the level Felipe is in all the videos vs What a UTR 10 ACTUALLY is. I have seen and rallied with UTR 10s in action and know its not going to be 8-2 if they are tournament-tested UTR 10s. If I played a UTR 10 now I would be pleased to get a game or 2..

The camera obscures a lot of things. He might look like a 8,25 on camera but in real life he is probably a lot better. You just cant judge someone's UTR accurately just by the camera.

@@hellogoodbye2664it’s true that players often look worse on camera, but there are many videos on KZbin of actual UTR 10 players you can watch-the level is significantly higher that what you see here.
@mattiastennis
@mattiastennis 7 ай бұрын
@@hellogoodbye2664 So what is the name of his opponent so we can enter it into UTR website then? Right now all I can find for Felipe Sousa/Souza which is apparently his name is UTR's from 3 to 8. I entered that just now and just by coincidence the highest matches to a 8,xx so? Its impossible for a UTR 8 to beat a UTR 10 that badly. Its possible for them to win say in the tiebreak of this 8-set thing or '8-6' but 8-2 no chance. Felipe is improving but your not going to improve leaps and bounds in 10 days. 10 weeks and 10 months totally different story. I actually do not understand though how Felipe's game degraded so much since when he first hit with Nikola from a few yrs ago but Brasil can be a problematic place to exist in..

Something is off here. How could Fillippe possiblly win against UTR10??? I don't belive this sh*t! I recently played against a UTR10 guy in the tournament. He had 1 or 2 ATP points. Those are Elite types of players. He blew me off the court 0:6 0:6!!! And I am a pretty solid NTRP 4.5 player (my current UTR is 6.0)! . Last year I finined 35 in NorCal among adults 18+. Believe me, I know what I am talking about! This guy is no way UTR10 if Fillippe won 8:2! That's why he probably asked not to show him on video.

For competitive play he uses the 2018 Babolat Pure Drive Plus. He’s mentioned this many times, and he has even made videos discussing it. I have noticed him using an oversize racquet (Gamma Big Bubba?) lately while coaching/feeding.

Somehow it is very difficult for me to connect with Felipe as a spectator. I believe it does translate into how good someone’s chances in tennis are. I don’t think he’d be anyone’s favorite player and he would not be the most hated either. I don’t think being mild and neutral works in tennis. The reason I’m mentioning it is not to be negative about him but to say that he’d benefit dramatically if he developed his personality - right now he’s just a yes-man - both in his interactions with the coach and in how he plays. Personality is everything in tennis.
