Because I would fly with the INS-System (and not with the X-Plane 11 FMC) I would ask how I can become the same flightplane into my tablet in the B747-200 (which flightplane-program and what are the steps to fill in there)? Because skyvector would give an oposit direction to UUDD.Thank you for help.

Thanks for the nice feedback, and sorry for the delay replying. The flightplan format you see was created manually by copy-pasting the waypoints from a Simbrief plan. Some of the simbrief formats like "BAW" have a page with a list of waypoints which is very useful for this sort of flying.

Hi. Thanks so much for your work. I recently purchased this plane, but I'm having trouble with the checklist that came with the plane. Have you or anyone else you know made a video that runs through the checklist that came with this plane? I've found a number of great tutorials, but none that follow the intended flow of the planes' checklist, so I get stuck every time, because I don't know which is in the wrong position that brings my attempt to follow the checklist to a screeching halt. I'd really appreciate a rundown of the supplied procedures. Thank you and a very merry new year to you and yours.
@ReflectedRealitySimulations2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Randy, Happy New Year. I don’t know of a tutorial using the TWA procedures that the checklists are based on. The testers with 747 experience all commented that the checklist procedures were a bit unusual - TWA seemed to revel in doing things differently from other operators. I try and show a logical method to use the aircraft that works with most of the checklist and explain why I’m doing something different where required.

Very impressive and comprehensive tutorial and I followed exactly the way you have explained BUT I am having problem , I don't get to observe the sound after APU start as yours show and also the big I have is that after engine start I have too much smoke coming out from the engine .. white thick which is so bothersome and yours doesn't show it. What am I doing wrong or do I need to have some setup to work on. Please guide me through. Thanks a bunch BTW I have the latest update for Felis 747-200 recently did.
@ReflectedRealitySimulations2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay replying John, and thanks for the nice feedback. I’ve not seen those issues before. The engine smoke could perhaps be the stock X-Plane smoke system (usually the X key), but I don’t know about the sound. Your best best is the Felis Discord - I think there’s a link in the x-plane.org forum, however Felis himself is in Ukraine so you may not hear from him directly at the moment.

Great tutorial. Thanks. However, it would be even greater if you did another one, more "essential", in order to facilitate the memorization of the whole process ... if I may ask ...
@ReflectedRealitySimulations3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Francesco. The included manual shows the setup process, so that should cover most of the key items. It's really like any other modern jet, so you need batteries, then APU start, APU bleed, fuel pumps, hydraulic pumps, instruments and navigation and then you're pretty much good to go.

does this have automated flight engineer like A2A's B377 has? or can it be operated and flown without using the engineer's position. Thanks. Great video!
@ReflectedRealitySimulations3 жыл бұрын
There isn't an automated flight engineer, but really the engineer workload in flight is very low. You need to do a couple of fuel system changes during the flight, and set the pressurisation for any step climbs or final descent. Other than that, all the flight engineer tasks are really done on the ground.

Thanks for the videos, they are very helpfull. I am used to fly in the Boeing 727 from FJS and I am wondering if I can use the auto-pilot in the Boeing 747-200 like I am used to do in the 727. I mean without Fly plan. I try to set up an altitude, heading but it doesn't seems to act like in the 727. Most of the time I use the auto pilot to fly around my departure airport and try as many landing as I can using ILS landing or not. Is it possible to use the auto pilot and do an ILS landing without a proper fly plan in the classic and if the answer is yes, I would love to have some explanations about it. Thanks again for the videos.
@ReflectedRealitySimulations2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s possible. You will still need to align the INS though. The reason for this is the INS system provides the input for the attitude indicator, which the autopilot needs to work. Once the INS is aligned, you’ll have no issues with the autopilot. The 727 has traditional gyros for the attitude so it doesn’t need an INS for the autopilot.

Any reason for not switching recirculating fan zone 1 on?
@ReflectedRealitySimulations2 жыл бұрын
Recirc fan 1 feeds the cockpit and upper deck, by leaving it switched off the flight crew are provided with fresh air continuously rather than mixed recirculated air. My understanding is some operators had this as standard procedures, and at other operators the pilots tended to do it anyway!

Thanks for super tutorial - I wanna ask - is necessary to use AT in this plane? I was watching all YT cocpit video this real plane and no of them used it
@ReflectedRealitySimulations3 жыл бұрын
No it's not necessary, and in fact can be more work than just moving the throttles. The throttles are usually looked after by the flight engineer though, so as a result when you're single pilot the AT can make life a bit easier, especially when you're doing additional stuff like navaid tuning, fuel crossfeed setup etc.
@JetfighterPL3 жыл бұрын
@@ReflectedRealitySimulations thanks for reply, one time I have to make flight without AT. 🙂
@rshvkkt912 жыл бұрын
Some of the early -200s came without FFRATS (full flight regime autothrottles) so the AT could only be used for takeoff and approach. The remainder of the time, the thrust had to be taken care of manually. Also, with EEC/FADEC being absent, asymmetric thrust lever positions were quite common!
