Wild camping is such a popular hobby, we all get inspiration from each other at both sides of the pond. Love your minimal style of camping dude, thats one of the reasons I bought the Siltarp1 from watching channels like yours. You gave yours away to Colin Outdoors, I miss him dude because his channel has gone quiet but he inspired me to make more videos and we all learn from each other, thats the beautty of this great community, ATB mate, you knowe it makes sense.

Now mate from Boro. I'm still watching and learning and liking the vids. I would get your fuel in a MSR or Trangia fuel can. I've not got much experience with em but after some research on the net , I just got a 1 ltr Trangia bottle from Go Outdoors to tie to my motorcycle as a spare fuel source when we go up to isle of skye and Oban this May. Happy camping.

When we went down to Cornwall for the 1999 solar eclipse we were camping with a largish group from the Open University Geology Society. Dogs and children were allowed. As there was likely to be 1000's of people in Cornwall for the week, the trip leader made us all leather dog tags with a celtic symbol on (dogs included) so that if any of the kids got mislaid they could trecognise people in their group. The campsite had a small takeawy cafe that did breakfasts and evening meals. While cueing up one night to get our dinner, one of the children from a family group asked why we were all wearing the tags. My husband said "it's because we have taken a group out from the local mental hospital and want to see what effect the eclipse has on them!" The child kept very quiet after that! Ace video :)

It's a little bit more expensive but could be better for your health. ALB Mark

Stove wise..I've had gas ones..the old camping gaz ones..the newer ones...ones with a pipe connecting the bottle to the stove..until one of the pipes leaked gas...coleman petrol stoves ..Always found B.P. petrol burned better in them..until they bunged up with carbon.. And the one that NEVER...EVER.. lets me down..the one i've had since 1980 something...?? A trangia..And it STILL works as well as the day i bought it...And it packs down small enough and weighs next to nowt..Although i did melt the kettle handle a bit...Woops...But the kettle still works perfectly well....And if you want a fire a bit of meths comes in proper handy there.... Now what more could you possibly want..?? Apart from a hobo stove what burns them stick things..grow on trees them ya know...FREE.....!!!!!!

Looking forward to the next upload - keep them coming - you KNOW it makes sense 🌲😊 UTB
@Fell_Wanderer5 жыл бұрын
If your Bivy doesn't come with a bug net, it can be difficult to fit one afterwards. What you can do is wear a bug net over your head before going to bed. I've found that once I'm in the bivy with the opening closed and only a small hole for some air to get in. The midgies don't bother me but other bugs may get in like spiders but they dont bite thankfully. Thanks for your kind words, ATB

That primus fuel is like petrol and I think might be too dangerous to use. the stove isn't air tight and I think the fuel might ignite. Its not like my coleman 533 petrol stove which has a screw on fuel cap and wont leak gas. That link to the adaptor is the one Davey uses. That gas is cheap as well and available from lots of places
