The Samuel Ray Revival Choir of my home church, Morning Star Baptist Church of Christ in Baltimore MD used to sing this under the direction of the late Sis. Audrey Epps Philips with the late great Edmund Meade on the organ and me (in my teens) on the piano.

No, those were the Coleman sisters and Dr Carolyn walker, amongst the higher ones…I feel like Sis. Mary is a true Mezzo-Soprano w range? She was hitting the higher notes on her famous lead, “He’s My Everything”
