Holy Cow! Now that's a fishing trip! 25 fish, lots of paddling, lots of pedaling, walking in the mud pulling the kayak! A hell of a workout for an old gal!! Haha! You did good! You were pulling them out like hot cakes! Haha! Nice 4 pounder! Someday I hope to have a 25 fish day! So far my best was 10. Thanks for sharing with us!

I so appreciate all of your videos, but the Fellsmere videos are how I found your channel, and they are always my favorites. The fishing there is insane, and you make it look so easy and effortless (which I know it's not!). Thanks for a long awaited Return to Fellsmere thrill! Hubby and I had initially planned to bring our Vibe kayaks down to fish Fellsmere the week of Thanksgiving, but we can only make it as far as Bainbridge GA with the time we have so we're hitting the Silver Lake WMA ponds/lakes instead. Maybe I'll finally catch one of the trophy bass from "Panic Pond." So bummed to miss out on the chance to fish the famous F'mere, though. 😥
@OldLadyAngler5 жыл бұрын
Oh thank you so much for the kind words Rachael. I absolutely love to hear from the lady subscribers! It is a shame that you'll miss Fellsmere on this trip... BUT.... the absolute best time to fish it is DEC-JAN-FEB time frame. They'll be pre-spawn-post during those months and it's absolutely insane fishing! Plus the hydrilla thins out (it never goes away) and makes it a little easier to get around. And you're right .... it may LOOK easy but in reality... it's a long, hard... but FUN day. That place is SO huge and the fish can spread out in 10,000 acres. It's definitely worth your time and effort to visit. Good luck at Silver Lake WMA. I've never heard of it but it sounds awesome.

Hello Ola! Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this video and all the other videos. Great job on catching those big fishes. I got a little nervous at the end with that alligator being kinda close but you got out of there though and that you’re safe. Keep making these videos and I was wondering if you will ever do a catch,clean and cook video? And also if you will ever do those giveaways? Have a blessed day Ola from the 61 year old lady from MN.
@OldLadyAngler5 жыл бұрын
Hi Therese. Thanks so much for watching. The gator.... He wasn't as close as he looks. They are pretty skittish and I've never had one get aggressive. BUT... if they do.... I'm carrying a pistol for personal protection and wouldn't hesitate to use it. More than likely I would not do a catch-clean-cook. I practice catch and release plus I don't eat fish.... so it would be a waste. I do give aways from time to time. The last give away was a Shimano Curado K baitcaster reel. I plan to do something for my 5000 subscriber landmark. Not sure what but it'll be a good one! Stay tuned!

I fished that exact spot last year and it was very low. Once I saw the opening I was like I know that road of glory! I have a video of a friend & myself using shiners until the Launch Lizard started eating our bobbers. It’s a great area to fish, you ever go about 2 miles down parallel to where you launched?
@OldLadyAngler5 жыл бұрын
DMG18T... yes I went 3 miles south... until the grass got too thick. Then I cut over and went east about 1.5 miles. I had a 10.25 mile day in the kayak. I've seen most of that reservoir (the part the we're allowed to fish in). I've never fished shiners. Only artificial. Yes it's a great fishery. It's been my favorite since the first time I fished it 2 years ago. Thanks so much for watching.
