I still use an old Anker 10 Ah battery that fits in my pfd pocket. Been using that since I started my channel. I really prefer the Nocqua over all other batteries because of it's size and form factor. Very reliable. And it's nice that the 20 Ah will run both all day long. Probably two days. Not too worried about GPs overheating. That's a whole other deal caused mainly by running hindsight and shooting in 4k/60fps in the middle of summer with zero wind. Afraid I'll never escape that issue. It happens with the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro too.

Thanks Madox. It's been a fun hobby that keeps me busy! I used to compete in distance running (marathon / half marathon) and climb mountains until I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. I had to take up a mellower hobby after that.

@@OldLadyAngleryea they are a great company but the batteries are not under warranty. They were purchased at Everything Kayak n Bicycle, MS I am ok they are on my second yak I don’t use as much

Wow. My 10Ah Nocqua is still going strong and I think it must be at least 4 years old. My other 20Ah is probably going in 3 years. I've used them A LOT too.

This setup is probably my favorite upgrade of the last few years. So streamlined! I'm running a Raymarine Element HD 7". Love it. I still have my little Garmin Striker up in Maine.

I live in Central Florida. We are able to fish year round here. I'll be going south for the month of January to do some Everglades fishing and then I'll head to Bangor, Maine for the summer! I don't know if I could survive a Minnesota winter! Stay warm!

@Hohn-uf5tn I got a dozen in this session. The biggest was around 2.5 lbs. I've caught 5 pounders in here and I'm sure there are bigger. Yes... gator country. In a few weeks I go to the Everglades for some REAL gator country action.

The trick is to remove / install them before you leave shore. I just wade out a little bit and do it in the water. MUCH easier.

They wouldn't hit a moving bait (spinnerbait, chatterbait, or topwater) today to save my life, but they'll hammer this dragged fluke. They were definitely in a different mood but I'll take it! My rod & reel will most likely remain in its watery grave for an eternity! Live and learn!! PS.... I do LOVE the shorter net handle though!! haha
