I found a felo screwdriver nearly a year ago when I was cleaning out and performing maintenance on her 2008 Saturn Astra. I had pulled out the spare tire to inflate it and I noticed that near the tire iron and jack was a black felo branded screwdriver as part of the kit from the factory. It was obviously not as nice as a typical store bought felo driver, but a felo none the less.

Those are pretty indestructible. We have two sets of Smart screwdriver and T-Handle sets on a metal box for more than 20 years, everyday use with lots of abuse and they are still in great condition! Recommended without any reserve.

Great review! My screwdriver set is by Snap-On-old skool kool. I magnetizesd the tips with hardcdrive magnets. For those not having hard drive magnets on-hand, tool magnetizer/demagnetizers are easily found in most hardware stores, and about the size of a package of gum or smaller.

I have an old Xcelite with ergo handle ( it's just a rebranded FELO)..... Tip seems to hold up quite well over time.

I just think that the German tools are geared more to that. I know that most of the larger cranes come from Germany. The electrical on them is just out of this world. I know some of them you open one of the upper side panels and it's a nice place to not want to be breaker's fusses wires and you need a driver to get them out. Persition screw drivers are a must have you need to fit the screws. I know with newer lifts are probably getting there to I really like your videos because you really look into everything and you don't work on just normal stuff you need the outside of the box tools

Great review! I just got my first Felo drivers and they feel great; even did a short video on them! I didn't get the Frico handle though, so I'd be curious how the Frico compares to the Ergonic and the wood handle in size and feel. Also curious what you think of the shaft strength; think they would stand the test of time?

Wing Style = Keystone Tip. I love the Felo screwdrivers with one exception; I wear XL gloves and the handles are a bit small for me but the blades are excellent. Great review though.

hay garnett i was thinking about your triangle screw head thought. the conclusion i came up with is that traditionaly tools grab fasteners by the corners weather it be a bolt or a screw head. so the more corners you have in theroy the harder it would be to strip. and of all the shapes a triangle has the least amount of corners. so thats why see square , philips and torex most commonly in screw heads.

Figures. After that live stream I thought: yeah, triangles are the strongest architectural shape but only when they're load bearing and force is applied to the points.

That is a nice set for the price. In my box it would be a good secondary set to my 25 year old primary Snap On set that has lifetime.

Actually I have not, looks like another one to add to the list. Someone just sent me an email the other day asking about Duss drills, which I also never heard of. There are a lot of smaller brands that make specialty products - Like HaFu L-Keys. Last time I counted the number of brands was over 60.

Yeah, they're pretty good, i just wish companies would start at least including PH3 in their sets but German tools are pretty good.

@@GarnettTools You can get PH3, but not in the sets. Here in Germany we don't use PH that much, instead we use the improved version of Phillips called Pozidriv (PZ). The chance of cam out is much lower than on Phillips. The rebrand of pliers is not really something to beware of. It's quite common for German brands to outsource to each other if the expertise and manufacturing is already in place. The pliers are great for the price and are made in Germany!

I don’t have the top torques but the older more triangle shoes ones. I’ve used them at least 13 years professionally now daily. I’ve replaced one. I’m pretty sure the newer top torques are made the same as far as the strength just different grips styles. Now Matco just released a new line that looks cheaper and does not say Witte or made in Germany and also don’t grip screws nearly as well. Stay away from those. Cornwell also has a new line that is also made in Germany and look very close to the Marcos. So o asked the rep and he said yes they are also made by Witte.

@@GarnettTools I was thinking about Wiha, but when I saw Wera laser cut one, I got lost again. So between Wiha and Wera (laser cut), what do you prefer for the workshop? And I am looking for a screwdriver set with the hole in the handle for tethering because we are cell tower climbers; what do you recommend for that? I was looking for Wiha 3k, but it seems like it is discontinued and not available anymore. And, I saw some people are complaining about Felo handles. Please advise. Btw; you are one of the best tools reviews; please keep it up.

@Tech Hardware thanks for the great informations, I was planning to get Felo Ergonic because of the handle and the hole at handle so I can tethering it while climbing the cell towers. but I heard that Felo Ergonic has sticky feelings! is it true? also I got amazed with wera laser cut ones, but I need some screwdrivers with a hole in the handle.

The packaging isn't an issue in Germany, because Germany isn't overflowing with criminal thugs like here in the USA stealing stuff left and right with no sense of right or wrong. Also, certain items are behind locked glass, etc. Central Europe is like a different world, as are certain parts of Asia, particularly Japan where honour is everything. No one wants to be sent to a Japanese prison, NO ONE.

I am tired of hearing German products are quite good. Pls show me German products that are not good... I know for sure they cannot make things artistically beautiful. They're obsessed with the bauhaus concept that is predated on simplicity and efficiency... If you look at their best products, cars.. They're designed by non-germans, probably Italians but I must confess they're the best mechanical engineers in the world...They are just lousy in building beautiful things like infrastructure...
