@@dougbfresh Sure, but we need to also stop hiring female cops for street work because there are more cases of this and it's pretty much usually a woman I know you will take that poorly but PD's across the country are starting to notate this.. I simply don't want a woman who can't carry my wounded ass, who will run away at the first sign of trouble, who is scared to shoot when she needs to, who can't contain a suspect larger than her or one that isn't a woman as well.. If cops were trained militarily and these said women could pass a basic infantry course and proven therefore they can carry a wounded comrade significantly larger than her then I would have no issue with it as I have no issue with qualified female soldiers. You will assume this is sexism which is why I mentioned it.. Cops aren't subjected to the same brutality or the same standards and when women who can't hack it are given cheater scores to pass a mediocre version of a physical to be in a police department you know we aren't getting the best of them.. If you want female officers just for the sake of having female officers is this a bad move. The women these PD's are putting out on the street clearly are NOT held to the same standard..

Kim was actively engaged with the suspect the entire time. Kim was locked on and wrestling. Kim got her gun out and managed to get an effect shot off. Nearly all of the cowardly screaming was the perp. Kim was continuing to issue commands and only screamed once the gunshot rang out. Would it have been more acceptable if it was the typical "manly" growl instead? No difference other than testosterone and octave. Meanwhile, Mr. McClain danced around the pair in circles with his Taser out. He sees a firearm, announces it, and tries to Tase the guy. John ABSOLUTELY nailed his evaluation of the Taser use. That male officer missed DOZENS of opportunities to tee off on that guys head, or tackling everyone to the ground. Both were justified and acceptable, either would have been effective. I know many body cam videos do not reflect on female officers/deputies/troopers in a flattering way. But, I've worked with some damn fine, tough as nails women in Corrections and Law Enforcement. You need to give credit where credit is due. Someone here should take a long, hard look in the mirror and re-evaluate their chosen profession... but, it isn't Kim.

Let's take the male/female out of it. Anyone who can't perform the job without losing their cool, screaming, etc. doesn't belong on the job. In my career in the fire service, I said, "We don't go to emergencies, we go to work". I saw plenty of males who lost focus, screamed on the radio, or otherwise got emotional when they should have been professional. In this case, the female officer needs to reevaluate her career choice.

My uncle and grandfather were old school cops in NY and they would often “sucker punch” or chest kick a perp as soon as they showed any level of counter aggression. I see everyone hating on the female officer when she's the one that handled business. The male officer seemed to have forgotten about his gun while panicking and yelling, "No, noo, noooo." Sure, he stayed calm afterward, but he most definitely regressed to single digit IQ while wrestling the perp.

To be honest, in my opinion all cops could draw a big lesson here. The "main" male cop pulls out gun while reduce distance by walking towards him. I admire the bravery of the female cop but she was clearly not ready for the escalated task, she went in full panic mode and the CCC (Calm, Cool, Collective) went down the drain, totally lost awareness of her surroundings while fighting her own handcuffs. The other officers at the back, in my opinion the officer who got his ass stuck in the fence was already "Out of business" the officer who tried to help his buddy get off of the fence should have assisted the other 2 cops in my opinion, to take controle over the suspect and make sure all threat in the nearby surroundings were completely gone and secured. Yes that means to leave your fellow cop "hanging" in the fence, he'll be alright, you can deal with him later.

I like the analysis and advice @3:27 ....It's 4 second conversation that could save a life. Officers (or anybody that works with a targeted 'dangerous' group) should really pay attention to that. I work in Inpatient Psych. Anytime we have to administer an injection or a hold.... we always say "OK. You do this. You do this. I do this."
