The choreographies are different not only because of how the dances look depending on the person's sex, is also because certain moves, in the long run, could be dangerous to perform for male dancers, because of the excess of muscle mass.

i dont think so, I'm a trans ballerina and i have really small muscles and bones and I'm one of the best dancers in my team. But in her case i think she went to the gym when she was a teenage boy so u would be half right or she's simply overweight. Overall, i think trans women should be able to do ballet but we need to still keep the 'petite, slim and delicate' standard for them, same with females@@hineraable

I actually looked into it and she wasn't accepted int the royal academy of dance, she just got a qualification from it. Basically from what I gathered the academy awards certificates for any level of learning (from beginner to advanced) which can be used to "prove" where you are in the learning journey (e.g. you are some kind of performer that wants to prove that you have some experience in ballet because the role you are trying for requires it) ; it can be compared to getting a qualification proving you are intermediate in French or English. The way this story is described is just to gather outrage: it is the equivalent of saying that a person got into Cambridge English Lit degree when they got an IELTS certificate attesting a B1 in English

She probably has more experience than the grown up. The adult started ballet at 33. I think Sophie Rebecca was 36 here. The child may have started between 3 & 6 and is 10 here. I think this is too advanced for Sophie Rebecca. I’m not saying that to be mean, I’m saying that as SR has no turn out, isn’t pointing her toes, & doesn’t have straight lines.

As someone who started learning cello in college, I was always told not to compare myself to people who started really early since learning is easier when you're developing as a child. I have a lot of respect for people who take up these kinds of skills that have a reputation for being best learned at a young age.

Leave the poor women alone! They didn't deserve to have their opportunities taken away by men AGAIN, in their OWN category.
