It's sad and fucked up but it's always been that way and unfortunately will always be that way. Even if somehow they find a way to make most of the staff more respectful there will always be those select few who act, think and treat inmates like they are beneath them

I've been a small time criminal all my life, always very successful meaning I never hardly got caught other than one time I got ratted on, anyways I started listening to 1090 about the beginning of 2020, I have significantly slowed my role and realized that I have been so lucky to not see that side of the fence! I experienced this type of abuse while I was in jail. I have a permanent scar above my eye because while I was cuffed , one officer tripped me and the other started banging my head into the ground. They did it in a secluded area where there were no cameras. Reporting the shitt or filing a grievance only makes it worse. Once I got out , I seen that same CO and I told her there aren’t any cuffs now. She wouldn’t even look at me. Totally different people when they are by themselves.
