You guys are out here making future medical professionals. Thank you so much for the videos and podcasts, they help so much with better understanding what we are learning in class and on the job.

I've been watching your guys' videos for the better part of a year now, and I can confidently say that they've played a huge part in my recent admission to nursing school. Anytime a fellow classmate of mine asks me about a certain topic they may be struggling with, there's always a video of yours that I can, and do, recommend to them. I hope you guys know just how much you're benefiting generations of future medical professionals. From the bottom of my heart and countless others, thank you!

22:10 The moment from where Dr. Mike starts explaining what happens to the oocyte after not being fertilized, it's actually disheartening to know how a female body preps the uterus for a baby but after not getting one , it becomes really sad and everything starts disintegrating and die off eventually 😢 [ Even if we don't think that way , it's sad :( ]

Why does it take the corpus luteum 10 days to give up waiting and breakdown? The egg only lives for around 1 day so it should ideally breakdown in around 3 days. I can’t get around how this part of the process is inefficient.
@gerbilpasty7 ай бұрын
Just a guess but implantation occurs between 6 and 12 days after ovulation. This video says that the signal for the corpus luteum to continue synthesising and releasing progesterone is caused by implantation. If it stopped producing progesterone because of no singal on day 3, the endometrium would be half gone before the zygote could implant

I still didn't understand, When the estrogen levels surged and it sent positive feedback to the hypothalamus. Then why did the fsh level rise.(16.13) It should have dropped so that no further primary follicle produces. Otherwise the primary follicle will keep on forming just because fsh has stimulated them.
