I would be weary doing that “women have higher pain tolerance“ thing because historically and nowadays women’s pain is often ignored or misdiagnosed or deemed to be psychosomatic, and statistically women get longer to be diagnosed with pain conditions. Not to mention when we are diagnosed with something like endometriosis or fibromyalgia, there’s not a lot of research done and (some) doctors dismiss it as “weird inexplicable and unavoidable lady pain”. Pain and Prejudice by Gabrielle Jackson and Unwell Women by Elinor Cleghorn are good books about this topic, I feel like every doctor should read them.

8:47 Honest question: What ISN'T bad for your spine/back?? Sitting hurts your back, exercising hurts your back, standing hurts your back, ... No matter what you do or what job you have, your back will hurt.
@MustelaRose3 жыл бұрын
Go see a professional about that so they can direct you and help your back! In general, they will give you instructions, maybe medication, maybe to go see an osteopath/ chiropratician/etc. and they will give you a set of slowly and progressively harder exercises to strengthen your back so it becomes stronger and it can withstand pressures without having as much pain! Oh and also, maintaining your stress levels as low as possible will also help your back, I know it does for me 😅

For contraception : definitely! You can't have "a best", just "a best for you". I've struggled with contraception options because of migraines with auras (as well as strokes history from my mom AND dad) so most of the estrogen options are a big no. Wanted to go for the tubal ligation, but the OBGYN opposed firmly so I tried Depo Provera. It's a bit intense so I came back two years later for another evaluation for tubal ligation, will get a Depo Provera implant that is apparently less intense than the shot. So yes, you need to consider many things when you choose your birth control method

I’ve dealt with almost daily migraines for about 3 years now. While I now have a neurologist and a bunch of medications that help me combat this issue there was a time where I sought out a chiropractor for relief. My answer to you would be it would depend on where the pain is localized. If it’s stemming from something that’s out of place in the bone structure such as your back, shoulders, or neck, a chiropractor would definitely be able to help with this. But if it’s stemming from something neurologically based, or even stress related, then I would recommend seeing your primary care physician first for their recommendations on next steps. Hope this helps!

People with actual X mutations are typically more male or female in other parts of their genes. do doctors have their own primary care doctors or do you diagnose yourself when you get sick?
@kirrafletcher43585 жыл бұрын

I think he said in one video that doctors are the worst patients because they always throw in unnecessary speculations about their own condition or something. Or maybe it was nurses or med students. Dunno, but I think they do get someone else's opinion on it when they get sick.

I just know doctors can’t prescribe themselves medicine they have to go to another doctor for that. It’s like illegal because it can be easily abused I guess.
@rachelrachel49225 жыл бұрын
@@casperr1299 he said in a previous video it's not illegal though it is ethically questionable. Doctors can like write themselves a script for an allergy medicine or antibiotics or renew an ongoing script of theirs, that's harmless. That's why it's not illegal
@chaddavis5235 жыл бұрын
Doctors are terrible patients (paramedics and nurses too). They know too much but they do use primary care physicians because it is impossible to remain objective about yourself or your family. However, their relationship with their PCP is different than the lay patient. They know what to report, the language they use is different, and the PCP is more likely to take another doctor at his word if he calls and says he has a specific illness. As a paramedic, my doctor knows that I have a firm handle on things and it’s usually not a problem if i call and tell him I have a sinus infection and need an antibiotic. He’ll usually just call it in unless it’s something that requires a closer look or that is more tightly controlled like pain medications.
