Tbf GI MC is sort of useful the problem is that Devs clearly intended the MC to be a F2P version of the top characters for their respective elements e.g. Electro Traveler got replaced by Raiden as a better battery or how Dendro Traveler got replaced by Nahida as a better sub-dps.... I like games that value MC Male/Female rather than just focusing on side characters, because the MC is the character who is with you for the entire journey. It feels like you are the childhood of certain UR characters.

I don't play gacha, I stopped playing Online for many years now, I just want to say that in a game with many playable characters I prefer games that focus more on the main character (design better, better story, better gameplay). You cannot deny that in a game where you can play multiple characters, you always want to play that supporting characters instead of the main character.

She happened to be my first Female MC I picked. Star Rail, I pick Caelus because of my gender, not regretting my choice. Genshin Impact, I pick Aether because he's 'canon'. But Wuthering Waves, I pick the Female because I like her character design, combat movements, and animation. They all fit perfectly well in the game's eastern settings than the male's. I quickly fall in love with her.
