A big barrier I actually had to finally admitting to being Bi was due to femboy's being in such a grey area of sexuality that it's easy to be like "I'm just enjoying the feminine aspects I like and ignoring the masculine ones I don't" It wasn't until I matured a little bit and went further into looking at more masculine men and admitted to the masculine traits I *did* like that I finally just sucked it up and went "I don't know how this shit works. But I know I like women, men, women dressed like men, and men dressed like women. I don't care anymore, and Bi is the closest label I have to the feelings I got." Cut to years later and I've come out to my parents, and although I still sometimes get imposter syndrome with my own sexuality due to still primarily liking femboys, it's much more liberating when I'm talking to my straight friends and can just say I think a male character is attractive without judgement. People should just be allowed to be themselves, without worrying about labels.

You see, it also bothers me to imagine all femboys as 100% feminine, because that implies the only difference between a girl and a femboy is the genitalia or maybe the voice. It is interesting for me to imagine a hunk that dresses up with traditionally feminine style because it sounds more like a self affirmation. It's both hot and just nice to look at in a non sexual way.

with the important addition of the androgynous/feminine style having to be coherent with your body in a self admitting way. efeminate muscly surferdude style comes to mind. style that is rooted in denial of your own body is instead ofputting because it hinds at a severe internal fleeing from reality. and with a strong muscular body a fragile self denial can be dangerous. an example for such an incohrence would be a burly guy in little girls clothes, who denies the contrast exists or claims it as fitting and coherent (or worse claims that coherence, i.e. physical reality, is nonexistant and should bow to personal wims) instead of being amused by the obviously present incoherence. for a non hunky guy feminine clothing could include loose fitting, covering and natural color clothing. same as it is charming for overweight women. the term femboy does not apply to these general gnc concepts though. a femboy specificaly has a bodily androgyny that enable coherent application of feminine styles that would not present coherence for archetypicaly shaped guys. femboy does not prescribe a personality though. tomboys as the opposite term is personality and slightly style practicality based, but does not prescribe a necessary bodily degree of androgyny. thats because coherence for women in archetypicaly masculine clothing is easier to achive as women present less of a potential physical threat on average. the personality is important though, as tomboyhood includes a voluntary step into the less protected archetypicaly masculine experience. there incoherence happens when there is a grandios amount of self promotion and risktaking despite once bodily capability (reckless endangerment and narcicism) or a complete refusal to step outside of the feminine protection while wanting to gain the benefits of unsafe risk.

Theres nothing wrong with being yourself, a femboy could be any sexuality, same as a person who is physically anything. your own opinion of your self affects your individual preferences and sexuality, IMO. Femanine could be seen as flowery or soft, but not in terms of sexuality since a masculine female is still a female if, they define themselves as a female.
