As we talk about parenting, we should be aware that even parents who are present still have kids abused. Abuse can happen anywhere. What we should talk about is ensuring that we have valuable relationships with our children and talk about their day everyday. I have a cousin whose daughter tells her everything like when she comes back from school she starts downloading the event of the day. When i bath her she tells me she will wash her privates herself. Apart from her mum no one washes her private part and she was three then. I remember a day she did something naughty and i scolded her, she cried and i bought her somethings to calm her and she said she will tell no one but guess what she told her mum and said my mum is not anyone, she is mum. It was that day i knew that this type of parenting was unique. Listen out there, we need to change the parenting narrative. The world is now so wicked. Be your children's confidant. Don't let them get love from outside. Appreciate them when they do things well and correct them with love.

You're on point on this! Very correct, relationship is what really matters, not if the parent is physically available or not!
@olarinretolachris3542 күн бұрын
True!!! but we should also be talking about this too, the value of a present parent can never be OVEREMPHAZIED! parents that are not present can barely build a valuable relationship. so the two work hand in hand.

This episode made me appreciate my father even more. God rest his soul. I remember one incident where I went to a saloon and after making my hair, the hairdresser charged me a bit more than I had. I said “my daddy didn’t give me up to that o” and it became a big conversation in the salon. “Big girl like you still Dey collect money from your papa for hair.” I was just a fresher in the university. I remember vividly saying I will not ask a man for anything my father can’t give me. I was so loved and provided for even in the hardest of times. His willingness to give when he had made me understand when he couldn’t. Fathers cannot be overrated.

I have this amazing neighbour who is a great husband and father to his children.... there was this time he was playing with his kids outside, and I just burst into tears... you won't understand a person's story until you've been there. My advantage was that Christ found me early. The fear of God kept me, but I saw sege. My parents had me as teens and saw me has a mistake and reason they had a stagnant life. I saw Hell... but God kept me. Now, I have come to understand that they just had a lot of growing and healing to do, too. My mom is the best, and my stepdad is the sweetest... knowing God is the best. He will hold you, heal you, and teach you.

This story exposes the serious issue of pedophilia in Nigeria. This is why a lot of Nigerian men who have recently migrated to the UK are being caught and arrested. I have this friend back in uni, he will sleep with any female he meets..he was studying medicine and he's a med doc currently. So then I'll be like hope you know the repercussions of all these things you're doing to your health, mental wellbeing and all and he will be like he doesn't even know what gets into him. But everyday he must sleep with atleast one lady. He will always want to try to get me but I get strong head - it was mostly God sha. So we got talking about childhood and he said something about being molested for the longest he could remember by their house girl.. So we went on Google and there was the root of his problem. Well, I didn't know anything about this so as time went on we drifted apart. He is married now and I hope he got the healing he needed b4 marriage.

What struck me most about this story is that in the midst of all this evil and her bad experiences with men, she met a man who decided to help her with her self-esteem without trying to manipulate and exploit her like previous boyfriends had done, and this set her on the path of healing. God is mindful of us. Secondly, like apostle said, there is the place of “personal responsibility”. The man who helped set her on the path of recovery by accepting her had come from a Christian home but chose a life of crime (stealing, cultism, dropping out of Uni and covering it up with lies). Thank God both are on their journey to redemption and recovery. Third, apostles messages literally help to transform lives.

I grew up hearing people asked is she your child too? But this was why I refused to be wayward. Because I felt that was what my mother wanted me to result to. So I wasn't without few friends but I wasn't sleeping around . It was torment but I build a moral around myself that my only dignity was my body. And those I should give it to should be worth the time. It's well and I pray all those in difficult situations finds love in Christ because he's the best lover . And if one is not mentally settle ,I don't think procrastinating should be for such person's . Jesus lifted ,Jesus glorified. It's well

I think the enemy strategically caused this kind of atmosphere around her life since childhood because she was created for a purpose and destined for greatness. The recurrent pattern of sexual escapades around her life looks like something orchestrated purposely by the devil to derail her destiny. The enemy knows us before we even know who we are. The recurrent pattern is already a red flag, can't be a coincidence May God perfect His healing and plan in her life. God bless pastor Femi for all he does

The enemy does not know us, he can only have an idea, God is the one who truly knows us, even before he formed us, and that's what His Word says
