Corey, I just have to say that all you say here is SO TRUE! I'm a 40+ woman, and looking back on all my previous relationships w/ men this pattern pops up again and again. Whenever I had doubts and/or needed space, the guys who panicked, got insecure and continued to message pushed me right out the door. I felt overwhelmed by them and like I was losing myself in the relationship. Trust me fellas, this guy knows what he's talking about. Focus on your mission, be secure in your masculinity and you will be infinitely more attractive to the women you want to be with.

As a guy with the same woman for decades- I concur. A woman should be an asset to your life, but you should have the ability to fly solo. I am willing to forgive mistakes and the occasional bad day. The way I relate to people is to be 1) polite, honest, & direct. 2) my words & actions ALIGN. This means I will say 'no,' (point 1) when appropriate. And I have the spine to either stand my ground, or leave when appropriate (point 2). I don't trash others, and I put myself first. People respect strength.

This is so true and women that are really into you will be blunt and tell you what and what not to do so they don’t lose attraction. Most guys don’t listen to a woman and don’t back off so then they lose the woman because they care too much what they think. Women like it much better when you treat them normal even if they act like they hate it. I have the gift on reading people very well so once I know a woman I know what’s happening in her life without even asking her. This is a blessing but I also have learned to not tell them I know as it freaks people out. I have learned to be more of a listener and just say a few words then as she warms up and gets more into talk more but make sure she’s still talking more. Also don’t care what they think of you as they will like you or they won’t.
@MrJabbothehut Жыл бұрын
Not trying to be a mssive nerd here but when you look at it from an evolutionary standpoint, what Corey says makes sense. The reason men and women get together is to have kids (biologically speaking). Women need to carry the child and are in an extremely vulnerable position whilst doing so. The man's job is to use the skills, that nature has provided him with, to create a safe and consistent environment where the woman will be happy to give birth and raise children. This is why women tend to be more sensitive to negative energy and to be all over the place and emotion based. It's nature's way of keeping them safe. If a man can keep his centre because he is sure of himself and his ability to protect and care for the woman, then her hissy fits and fears should be irrelevant and will eventually fade if he shows that he is capable. Playing along with women's emotions will suck you down the rabbit hole of never ending problems.

All men all ages need to read this book! As a woman 53 met a man 57 had two dates and had a great connection and I liked him. It's only been a week and he is smothering me! Good morning good night texts, calls me right after work, calls me sweety and darling and mentioned if we "lived together" he would make me dinner. I've already told him he's moving to fast too much too soon. I'm so overwhelmed and have lost attraction for him. He doesn't seem to get it and back off...to the point that I'm already done with him. One week! Corey is on point how do men not know NOT to do this it kills all attraction. We need time and space to process our feelings and emotions take time to assess if he's someone we want to get to know better. He's not giving me any space to do that. Over pursuing being needy and pushy is such a turn off and so unattractive 😢

Women have so many options. They need space to grow in their feelings and emotions. They are so use to men over pursuing. It's so similar to being a typical salesperson coming across as salesy, you just turn off the prospect from buying and they go into fight/flight mode. Women are the same.

Going through this right now, chick was hot and heavy for me, always initiating affection, couldn't go more than 1-2 days without texting me, all over me, etc. I would spend the weekends with her, doing fun things like going to eat, the movies, beach, you get he point. This has been very consistent for about 4 months, yesterday I was supposed to see her for the weekend and we talked and I told her I'm just getting packed, I'll be on my way shortly and asked if she wanted me to pick her up some food on the way. I get a text about 5 minutes later saying: "Don't come, I'm just going to go to work instead." She has never done this before, it really destroyed me emotionally, but we probably have been spending too much time together and she feels smothered, so I'll just back away. My girlfriend has bipolar and gets into different states. Whenever she's depressed, she will flake but she reassures me that she will make it up to me and she does. However, these past couple weeks, she's been very distant. We had a pregnancy scare and she was freaking out about it and I reassured her that I'll stick around if it happens. She is happy and tells me I'm very supportive. We hung out 2 weeks ago, did a haunted house, she met my aunts/uncles at a party, treated me to arcade, she took me out for sushi, etc. Very fun weekend. The next day, she said she'll cook me dinner at her place. I text her what time she wants me over and she says nothing. After 3 days, I asked if things are good and she said they're great! I said let's facetime and she doesn't reply. 4 days later, she updates me that her period came a few days late but she's not pregnant. I told her that's great, etc. and sent her a meme of our fun weekend and no reply. So after 3 days, I dropped off flowers on her doormat and told her that I can tell something's different but I'm here for her, etc. She replies thanking me and that they're beautiful and her favorite. I told her to let me know when she wants to hangout (because I'm not chasing no more) and changed the topic to see if she bites on it. And nothing. I'm not going to reach out, but I just don't know if this is bipolar or just a lack of interest. I did all I could and am ready to just be done. I'm just confused, she implied moving in w/ me in the future during that weekend and now she doesn't want to talk to me? I try to be understanding and give her space, her other ex's would freak out on her over small things so maybe she needs drama if things are too perfect?
