When I was younger, I thought I was the problem. However, once I garnered success and had plenty of women available, I realized they were the problem. Only a tiny fraction cared about men and were attractive for relationships/marriage. Their sense of entitlement was through the roof, and I could see that what my father and grandfather had available to them was no longer available to us.

Feminism didn’t allow women to have careers and have rights, that was the Industrial Revolution and western white men benevolence and rule. Feminism just took credit of that
@JP-ug9oj11 күн бұрын
True, but by labeling men oppressors and calling all things traditionally feminine (aka feminine) patriarchal oppression, feminists convinced women to rebel against their own innate femininity, put their kids in daycare if they have any, and seek employment outside of their untaxed home economies. The industrialists who funding feminist leaders doubled the labor supply driving wages down while also eliminating competition from the untaxed work women traditionally did.
@QuantumSqueeb5 күн бұрын
Corporations used women after WW2 for labor and got other women to convince them it was better to be detached from families. Millions of immigrants and naturalized non white citizens fought for basic rights. Irish weren’t seen as white, nor Italians. They fought for freedoms. African Americans directly did also. Most immigrants labor gave white men the labor they so graciously offered to their women. This “belevolence” is just capitalist/corporate greed using race and gender for profit.

Kids are an asset when people live on farms where having more hands to do labor helps everyone. Having kids when you live in town or in the city costs more money than they save or help which makes them more of a liability. Thats not because of feminism, its because more people live in town and in the cities then in the past. Before modern corporate farming and modern technology it took a lot more people and resources to farm the land. Feminism has made having kids more of a liability because the Ideology leads to more divorce, which leads to child support and court fees and everything, so in this narrow context they exasperated liability but didn't solely make it.

What does State sanctioned "legal" marriage provide to men what they can't already get without it today? Especially considering the downsides to State marriage for men. Does anyone realize that out of wedlock birth for men is a giant bargain? Think about it for a moment. The man, now a father, can be an excellent mentor for his child if he chooses (and the mother and State let him). Yet once that child reaches adulthood the man no longer has to pay for a wife who is now not as attractive as she was in her 20's. I find it notable no one is talking about this. To men this is the bargain of the century.

I also don't think that having to deal with a pissed off baby momma all the time is beneficial as well. To be honest, all of this is draining on a man. I should know, I did exactly this. Married at 19 divorced at 23. Exactly 20 years of child support paid. My kids mother made my life a living hell when I lived close by. Both my parents and I were robbed of having children and grandchildren. This is definitely NOT the bargain of the century. You say that the difference between the past and now is that women couldn't work. That is not the case. There were a few professions women were denied, but women could work. It was just that society expected marriage and children more, and there was no birth control. People wanted sexual relationships, and all those needs and expectations were solved with marriage. Coincidentally, that also made men more desirable to women, and made marriage happen earlier, when it works better, around the age of 25. In the 1950s my mother left a difficult home life, studied education, got a job, all before she got married. My parents were virgins when they married, before they turned 25.

Darlin', I could write a BOOK to respond to everything you addressed! I won't do that though. I'll just post comments that pertain to one thought; I'll post one comment at a time. BTW, I subscribed. One thought I have is that there's another reason why women cannot waste time to get a man. What's that? As a female movie character once said, bachelorhood is habit forming. We men not only grow accustomed to living alone; we discover that we like it. I get to do what I want, when I want, how I want, and where I want; or, I can do nothing at all! Another thing that dovetails with this is that, between 30-35, a man's big head takes over and does more thinking for him than the little head does. That is to say that our ardor for sex cools off as we pass through our 30s. At 62 going on 63, I can still do the deed, but not readily like it was when I was in my 20s. At my age, I can take sex or leave it. Once that's off the table, we have much less desire to be with a woman.
@whatsupbudbud11 күн бұрын
It is worth pointing out that women also lose their libido, in fact, right after birth. Both gender's proclivity towards this outcome also seems rather logical - the task of breeding has been achieved or is likely not to be achieved at all, so resources must be spent elsewhere. The modern social and judicial system just solidifies this.
@wink331911 күн бұрын
I agree with many statements in the video. However, two comments: First, feminism has not been a movement that showed up in the last 20 years or so. It has been around for much longer. Women were able to work even before feminism showed up. The big difference of the last 20 years was the technological change with social media and the changes in education. Second, a big factor that drove the changes in dating and relationships was the welfare state. Without a welfare state, your family had to provide for your welfare. So, your choice of family membership was critically important and men and women had to work together to get something done. Once, the welfare state took over most of your security needs (retirement funding, unemployment funding, health care) you could basically decide to stay on your own without any risk. The problem is: then, we don't have any children (or not enough) and the welfare state will collapse for a lack of young people contributing and too many old people expecting its benifits. Laying all the blame of the problems of dating and relationships at the feet of feminism is therefore unfair.
@dharmadasa6611 күн бұрын
Feminism and the welfare state go hand in hand. Women consistently vote for more government support than men do. The government and its welfare provisions are now the husband in the relationship, which is what women who seek safety and protection want. That is why women think they do not need men. The welfare state can provide! This stems from female 'empowerment' without the consequences being thought through.
@TheGismono3 күн бұрын
@@dharmadasa66 -- "Women consistently vote for more government support than men do" yeah, just look at the gender split of this last us election. that proves this point outright. @wink3319 -- "Laying all the blame of the problems of dating and relationships at the feet of feminism is therefore unfair." It's not unfair at all, feminist authors like Bell Hooks and Andrea Dworkin and others are prime moves that would demonize men while rewriting history to something where some would belive that wifes was husbands slaves or worse. Insted of partners in a hard world for both sides. This is the main reason why men largely have stepped back from dating women (aka the marriage rates plummeting), and what men is left is the men that is yet to be broken by a women, or the bad boys that all the women are chasing that will largely cheat because they have all the opitions because women don't mind trying to steal a man from another women. This is what have even let to stuff like the Mattress girls hoxs on a campus, and the "man vs bear" question on soical media and other toxic behavior. All this and so much more comes from feminism aka cultural marxism.

While not quite the topic of this video, is it time to create a new and fully detailed legal contract regarding the rights and responsibilities of marriage between a couple? Maybe it, like license agreements, should require active renewal every so often or the agreement expires (think car tabs). Imagine those rules being well known in advance, and that every three or four years it must be revised and signed by both parties with a legal witness (like a Notary). How might that change a couple's behavior in the marriage? I think it's well past time.

Building a career is a 10+ year negotiating tactic to set terms in a relationship. It's based on an adversarial assumption that is core to feminism, and a transactional view towards marriage. I'm a happily married heterosexual man who has been ever faithful to my wife of 35 years and we have two grown children. My take on your video is that dating and marriage and sex and gender relations have always been fraught and difficult and confusing. There have never been easy answers and there never will be. Men and women are different biologically. It's tough to bridge the divide between the sexes. In past times, societies have settled into specific roles for men and women, and it is difficult determine whether these sometimes constricting roles promoted human happiness. But, in every age, in every society, people have found ways to come together, to have sex, to compromise, to make commitments, to be happy and to enjoy life. In the past three hundred years, there has been a definite pattern of increasing empowerment of the individual -- that's a good thing -- for men and women and everybody -- we can do more, we have greater freedom to choose our place in society, we have vastly expanded opportunities. To some extents, feminism is part of this general worldwide trend of increasing empowerment of individuals. It enabled LifewithLaur to make this video. I think a key aspect of human empowerment is to try to win some control over one's own emotions, to understand more, and to see reality clearly without tinted lenses (I wrote about this in my book 'A bible for atheists') and if there's one idea from my book that I might share with you fine people, that might help young people form solid connections with others, it's this -- if you can understand that everything that happens, had to happen, and could not have happened any other way (philosophers call this 'determinism') and yet you can still act and make choices as if you have free will, then you're on your way toward gaining greater wisdom. It's a tricky concept but it's important in so many ways to achieving success and happiness. Best of luck to all you lonely people out there -- keep dating, keep trying, never give up!!! :)
@whatsupbudbud11 күн бұрын
Nice message though it does not make sense what you postulate regarding determinism and free choice as those two are complete opposites. It would be more helpful to view determinism through the optics of computer systems and imagine that universe is a deterministic system where the same inputs always produce the same outputs. What you regard as free will is still determined by the sum of inputs so it is rather illusory. Granted, accepting the lack of free will should bring some peace to many I imagine.
@tom1600x105010 күн бұрын
@@whatsupbudbud Yes there is a way to resolve the apparent contradiction between determinism and free will. I try to explain it in my book (which is based on my take on the philosophy of Spinoza, a 17th century rationalist philosopher). A quick explanation is that everything is determined -- like in your computer model example -- but within that world, we humans have a sense of making choices -- choices that help us live better -- while knowing that everything we think and do and every choice we make is fully determined by past events. That is, we can grab a 'greater share of the determining' by thinking better, knowing more, being educated, and making better longer-time wider-space guesses about how things will play out in the future. It's my best guess about how things work, and like all things, it should be treated with skepticism.

A few thoughts. You said that women don’t need a man multiple times throughout the video. No one has ever needed a relationship. We have pursued them because we wanted them and enjoyed the company of a companion. So obviously it is common sense that choosing to be in a relationship is the result of a conscious choice to share your life with someone rather than some type of a necessity. Do why do people keep repeating this over and over if that is simplistic basic logic that a child understands? Second point. You say that women are top tier and want a top 10% man. Again, this is a very recently made up philosophy that people in society have some sort of social ranking. It’s a very shallow way of thinking. As we all now know, most personal traits that humans have exist on a wide spectrum of variability across a population. Individuals tend to have a mixture of these attributes making each person a unique individual. So one person may be good at running very fast and another good at calculus. One is not better than the other. I actually think that this simple point is the basis of being a functional decent adult in a civilized society. For some reason, over the last couple of years people disregard this and believe that they can somehow rank unique individuals who have a mixture of infinite traits and abilities. Anyone who thinks this way has a serious lack of intelligence. Third. I grew up in the late seventies and eighties and there were many women in the workplace. This narrative that women are just now entering the workforce over the last couple of years is very simply a lie. Every supervisor I’ve ever had was a woman. I think what’s amazing to me is that when we were growing up 40 years ago, we thought that the most important threat was probably nuclear war. Come to find out the true threat that would ultimately come to destroy society was the invention of social media and the brain rot that comes with it. I can only pray that the next generation of kids coming up will reject social media, and stop being brainwashed to believe lies like this. We have to be able to think for ourselves and not be simpletons that just parrot a narrative that has been planted into our brains. Why do you think they want everyone single? Because you have more consumerism if everyone is on their own rather than cooperating and helping each other. That was common sense when I was growing up but now that is just completely lost. At least you guys have tik tok.

Porn, social media, and video games are making people more isolated than ever while falsely promising connection. It doesn't help that people were scared into staying inside for months during the pandemic. Broken families because nobody wants to play the home caretaker role now that women are choosing career over family life. Many men are willing to be the home caretaker, but let's be honest, this is emasculating to most men. Divorce is a frivolous affair where it wrecks a family, yet the 2 adults don't seem to care about their kids enough to make the marriage work. Crooked monetary system where the banks print money and give it to their rich friends while the middle class disappears with stagflation. Materialism. Lots of social issues to deal with.

All that matters is that we give our lives in service to God, our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Both man and woman. If men turn to God they will be able to care for their wives and families in the same way Jesus cares for us.

-- "give our lives in service to God" you do you, the Christian book hold alot of stories, but that is all they are to me and the majority of the planet, why bring religion up (oh yeah, not to mention the infiltration of feminsm all over the church, so what good is it). I find as much or more meaning in the works of Shakespeare or even more from J.R.R Tolkien. There is more to take to heart in and more inspiration and even faith in my fellow humans because of just Tolkien, then the bible. -- "If men turn to God they will be able to care for their wives" I think you have lost the plot here. It's the reciprocity from women that is missing in todays world. But of couse of you mean "same way Jesus cares for us", soo nothing, as women do.

In this model, the women turn to God by serving their man. You missed that. That's why non traditional Christian marriages fail.

@ Jesus gave his life for his bride the church. If a man is not willing to do that for his wife he does not deserve her. In fact, if we are called to mirror Christ in our marriage, as men we should know women are imperfect, emotional and prone to irrational decisions, in much the same way we may act with God. Yet God still loves and cares for us. That is the love a man should give a woman, unconditional love. It is not a womans job to love a man, it is a mans job to love God, love himself and give any excess love to his wife.

@@NathanAmieland it’s on the wife to submit and support her husband and obey Ephesians 5:22-24

@ How does that negate what I said before? If you are not willing to lay down your life like Christ did, why would a women respect your leadership or authority in the first place?
