If a woman has such disdain for her child while in the womb, it is obvious she will carry those feelings throughout their upbringing. I feel sorry for the child, who will likely be robbed of a mother's love during his formative years. It is likely, he will be gender confused from the start to make him into "a girl" to suit the mother's preference. Or, he will be ignored, unloved and abused in some fashion. But, the silver lining may be that he grows up strong and independent. Who knows.

Whilst there should be psychological screening and general assessments made for those receiving IVF and donor embryos or eggs or sperm ... I'm sure they would have just claimed discrimination if they were refused "fertility treatment". Rights are so often called as the trump-card over responsibilities. I think it's sad that people don't realise that women are equally capable of being evil in this way. With my mother people kept playing down her behaviour and making excuses for it, when they certainly would've been all over it if she had been a man. In the end though, it's not right to be angry at women as a whole for this, not every woman has the same social bias and there are plenty out there who find it repugnant. I think the problem with these women is they let their past trauma and their hatred warp their perception and their sense of morality to the point that they can't understand or empathize with someone who is male. Hatred is an extremely powerful emotion, to the point that it can blind people to obvious conclusions or certain emotions when it comes to the subject of their hatred. Ultimately the only thing that can cure such hatred is understanding and unfortunately such people who feel this level of hatred don't want to understand.

It appears to become more and more common to point fingers and blame others when you fuck up, instead of owning up to the mistake, learn from it and do your best to not repeat it. One really easy example is media blaming "trolls" and "alt-right" if something gets criticized, especially if it's clear that the creators royally fucked up. If this was true the US would be the fucking Fourth Reich by now, and the rest of the world would be singing the trololo song in unison. It's kinda sad, and a bit morbidly hilarious.

They don't want that boy (trust me, he can feel it) They become mean and abusive to him One day, during an argument, they even tell him "we wanted a girl anyway" That boy is now broken, antisocial, full with self hatred and an unconscious belief that love equates to abuse He is angry, self destructive, starts to subconsciously hate women Either he ends up being an unstable nice guy with a love-hate contradiction towards women, or one day his inner rage comes out and he becomes a sex offender. She was still put in a circumstance against her will which had a ripple effect on her body for the next 9 months. If she accepted the child its probably because its just a child who had no say in its own conception. Some women probably do pin the "sins of the father" onto their son, but most women are probably mentally stable enough to not do something that irrational. Evil is nurtured, not natured.

Thank you for being the kind of mother every woman should strive to become, (if they have the desire to become mothers). I was raised only with brothers until I was nearly 12 years old and as such I have a much better grasp of how to raise a son than I do a daughter. I'm still not the most feminine woman. I would struggle helping a daughter with things like doing her hair and makeup, and I hate shopping, but I would try my hardest to get better at it and get into those activities for her sake. I cannot imagine not loving a child simply because of how they were born. I'm pretty sure I'm infertile, (shit medical where I live so I haven't gotten any testing done, but 2 years of trying and no luck yet) but if I'm ever blessed enough to have a child you are damn right I'm going to love them unconditionally and do my best to raise them into a healthy, happy, properly functioning adult. I do believe you are correct speaking of hardships coming in our not to distant future. It may not be war or famine, but trouble does seem to be brewing especially when you hear of stories like this one. These extreme feminists seem to forget that we absolutely need strong, confident, able bodied men in order to have a healthy, properly functioning society. Some people might genuinely use it for good, but hell, it's too much power in today's insane culture. Unborn children are now customizable characters that, if undesirable, can just be thrown away and never thought of again. Absolutely hated me for being male, and used that to justify a wide range of abuse including physical. As a young adult, I went for trauma therapy. What I was instead treated for was misogyny, because, in short, this therapist believed a male thinking his mother is abusive is misogyny. The therapist actually got me apologizing to my mother for her abusiveness. Thank goodness I was later able to work out for myself that I wasn't responsible for my mother's actions when I was a child.

@@bretttobin9632 PTSD is a condition of mind. Similarly to how a child can be terrified of a dark room whilst an adult is unphased, a person can experience PTSD from things you might not consider to be traumatizing. Also, similarly to how you would take care and show compassion to a child in fear of darkness, you should be understanding of other people's mental states. Telling someone that they are stupid for having PTSD isn't going to help them but comforting them will get them to trust you and with that trust you can guide them and help them heal.

This makes me so sad. My husband and I adopted a little boy and took him home from the hospital. We were so excited and lived our little boy. The mother changed her mind 2 weeks later and I had to hand my son over to her. I say my son because for two weeks I stayed up all hours of the night as he struggled to sleep at night without being held, fed him, consoled him and loved him all I could. I don't remember the next three months. The doctors told me I won't have a baby. Not even with IVF. I can sleep at night because the boy I once called my son was wanted and loved by his mother. I still miss him and I lost something irretrievable when I lost him. How can these women want to throw away their child? Every child deserves love, even if you didn't plan them. And they planned him, whether they think they did or not. If you want to know how men who can treat women like garbage are raised, look at how these women treat their son. You will find textbook replicas of this in the childhoods of many serial killers.

That's terrible. There should be more checks and balances I think... a contract that legally prevents a biological mother from "changing her mind". If you are so readily willing to give up your baby and you do, you should lose all right to that baby. Adoption needs to be a serious matter. The fact that the biological mother clearly didn't even think about it long enough to know their own feelings on the matter and was still able to just give their kid away like that without any assurance that she wouldn't take her baby back, infuriates me to no end. If I could, I'd make it illegal. You give up guardianship of your child, you lose all privileges and rights to that child. Maybe then these women would actually think about it more. Maybe try and raise the baby for a couple weeks. If she had she would have been glad she didn't given her baby away... but here we are.

I think this comes as an overcorrection to how society overvalues sons when they're born. In Third world countries boys are the saving grace while women are domesticated from birth for men to marry - the main issue is that this practice is so extreme that the men don't have to prove their worth, they can be a bum and get a submissive wife. The West has First World Nations that co-opts issues of the Third World to antagonizes and vilify boys because The West allows women more freedoms and ample time to notice certain biases that aren't in their favour. ie. Sometimes people are used to being given things and don't consider the reasons why Boys Scouts is for BOYS.

In fact, society is all to happy to create such scenarios in order to shame, blame, & maintain victim hood, when their “monsters” rebel, & harm themselves, & others in their wake, simply because such individuals, were never given compassion, or love. It’s so easy for society to daemonize such individuals. Yet, society has never once, taken responsibility for their creations. Take for example InCels. These men are daemonized, & even considered a terrorist organization. All because they are embittered, & filled with hatred, because no one has ever shown them compassion, or love, so they just gave up, & allowed themselves to be consumed to the point of being incurables. This does not excuse those who resort to acts of violence. However, society has a long way to go, & its own responsibilities to burden for its hand in their creation. This little boy is just the latest fodder for society’s organ grinder. He will too easily become forgotten, & just another statistic.

I remember seeing a documentary many many years ago about women like this. One of the women in the documentary stood out the most because she was actually filmed sitting in front of her little boys proudly announcing that she didn't love them and that the day that they were born was the worst days of her life because she wanted a girl. She eventually did have a girl, but if I remember correctly she had 3 boys before her. The documentary also showed several clips of her playing princess with the little baby girl while completely ignoring her boys who were trying to get her attention. I remember that she set off a huge storm of resentment and a big discussion at the time. These days I feel like this would be considered okay by a lot of people and that's disgusting. My own mother wasn't this extreme but she has told me that her dream was a girl so when she had my brothers she was really disappointed at first. When she then later found out that she was pregnant with me, she couldn't have been more excited to finally have the baby girl that she so badly wanted. Plot-twist? When I was born, during birth, I had apparently kicked her so hard in the ribs from the inside that she lost her breath and was in serious pain for a while afterwards. In that second I immediately lost my place as the "most wanted one" and instead became the least wanted one because by kicking her I had failed her even before being born. So even though I started out as her grand price-kid, I have since then never been able to get her love or approval or even come close to being as loved as my brothers are. "Black sheep" is putting it nicely. The way I see it, it's not necessarily a sex-thing, but these people have an idea in their heads of what their perfect baby is and the sex is only a small part of it. Whether they actually are the right sex or not doesn't matter in the long run because that child, like me, will have to spend their whole lives trying to live up to that image in the parent's head of what the perfect child is and if they fail they will be cast out like I was. It's narcissism, pure and simple. What saddens me is that this is something that would be looked down upon only a couple of years ago and now it is becoming more and more normalized. It's disgusting.

It's because of the ongoing misandry that labels itself feminism. It's pervaded the culture to the point where it's OK to berate a man if he screws up, but you're a monster if you hold a woman accountable for any screw up. The erasure of boys in school at the hands of mostly female teachers has basically outlawed horseplay, pretending your hands are guns, or any other form of kinetic imagination play in favor of a social emotional domain focused on the needs and preferences of the girls. It's led to a constant struggle session against 'toxic masculinity' while screaming misogyny if any toxic aspects of femininity are even mentioned. In short, men, particularly white heterosexual christian men are actively being disowned by western society, which is amazing given that most of those societies were built by the same group. I sincerely hope that whatever the post modernism of today is building is better than what came before it, but pessimistically believe that it will be far worse and will blame its failure on the very people it is trying to remove from daily life.

Your experience is so similar to mine. My mother had three boys before I came along and only stayed with my biological father as long as she did in order to try again and again for a girl. She promised one of my older brothers and myself that she would never remarry nor have anymore children. Her not having more children was important to us as we were already attention starved, how can you give enough attention to 4 children while being a single parent who works full time? Who even promises something like that? I ended up being a tomboy which is not what she was looking for in a daughter and after remarrying when I was 8 she started to have more babies. It didn't take long for me to become free childcare for her and even before my sister was born it was clear to me that I didn't matter like I once had. My older brothers were rarely, if ever, expected to care for the younger children, however it was expected that I would have to give up time with my friends even if said activity had been planned for some time. When I was bullied in school one of my bullies lived across the street from us and would torment me if I played in the front yard. This girl would put up signs in her windows saying horrible things about me while her parents were both at work so we kept our blinds shut and I never played outside. One of my brothers is schizophrenic and during that time was undiagnosed and very violent. My other brothers and I would stay in the one room that had a lock on it and bang on the ceiling with a broom handle to get mom's attention so she could stand guard while we ran to the bathroom. I begged her to let me stay home, change schools, or go live with my grandparents but even after developing a stress rash all over my legs at age 10 she adamantly refused. When my little sister started to get bullied years later, (no bully across the street, no violence inside the home at this point) she was allowed to stay home whenever she wanted and my mom let her change schools. This hurt immensely, even moreso because I felt like I had to protect my mother and help her in any way I could from a very young age. When my opinions started to become different from hers our relationship got worse. When one of my older brothers died suddenly and her friends didn't/couldn't understand the loss and pain I became her closest friend and her counselor as well as her main form of childcare. After a little more than a year of this and dealing with my own grief I moved out suddenly one day without telling my family. I knew if I said anything about it they would try to get me to stay and use fear to do so and at that point I was on the verge of suicide. Our relationship has never been the same. I don't think she consciously did any of these things, and the relationship she had with her mother was not a healthy one by any means, but the damage was done. It's even more strange because it seems like she blames me and my actions as a child and young adult to be the main cause of this rift. I love my mother dearly, but it can be very hard sometimes to like her as a person. I don't know why she treated me this way and I will most likely never have any solid answers. If I am lucky enough to have children I am going to do my absolute best to make sure they know that they are loved and that I am there to protect them, not the other way around.

Unfortunately it is more like to read an article about how the child committed suicide after she forced him to transition - & the suicide she would blame on society's transphobia. Or an article about him going on a mass shooting spree. Which she would blame on masculinity not her own actions & words.

I grew up hating women to the point where if I had the option back then I would have had sex reassignment surgery just so I could stop hating myself for being one. There should be psychological evaluations prior to getting pregnant with this kind of a procedure. If someone has this strong of a reaction to a child’s face or gender, then they probably shouldn’t have any children. We need to go back to a century where you don’t get to pick, rather than a century where you can pick a child that aligns with feminist “theory” views. Next people will pick personality traits. Have we forgotten these where these theories came from and they were initially essays/articles written by people??? Not specialists. Not doctors. Thinkers. People are treating these theories like we should apply them to every facet of life. Furthermore, anyone who refers to a human being that has barely formed the way you mentioned Sydney, should not be allowed to create a child. We truly are descending on a hell gondola.
