When I saw it in person, I was surprised by how accurate it was. From the flat magnet poles to the chrome block saddles, it really looks period correct. The only thing that is not accurate are the body contours. '70s Strat body contours are pretty shallow.

I am a Japanese guitar lover Today, late 70s strat especially hard tail is really difficult to get in Japan. Also, very rare antigua finish, now price gonna be sky high. For me, this is my dream strat. I had antigua Fujigen copy model before, but it's made by bass wood, not good electric parts, yap, that's not fit for me. Finally, I found one of a kind for me. Thank you for fender and great demo. Me and my parents really love to listening Police, Chic, some other late 70s to early 80s hit charts. Thease songs very popular in Japanese disco too. So sorry for Such a long sentence.

Why a Hard tail on a Strat? I would have preferred the tremolo version along with the hard tail.

Antigua hardtail strats do it for me. I bought one new in 1979. It was my #1 for 20 years. Sadly I suffered a bout of stupidity and lost it. Now, I guess I need to sell some blood or some guitars.

I just found out that this is the only model in the 70's line that's MIM. Sort of a turn-off personally.

The serial number is misleading too as far as I can tell from pics online. That's the deciding factor for me. Idk if I can do 1500 for a mim.....

Never liked the looks of the originals but for some reason this one has a cooler, different look. How'd that happen?
