And I have one, the telecaster and i have to say, one of the best thing of it, not just the sound and versatility BUT, how incredible this guitar gets through the mix... how it push and gets heard. Our drummer always ppints that. Does not matter how loud the stage is, how loud we play, how loud the rehearsal is, how many instruments are playing, this guitar always get through the mix.. sooo nice!. I'm very happy with it
@FloridaManRacer3 жыл бұрын
nice to hear someone using and appreciating it in an actual performance setting. They seem like a great way to reduce the amount of stuff you carry into and out of the gig. Which just leaves more time to sip a beer and watch the drummer tear his kit down lol.

They sound like everything I hate about plugged in acoustics (plastic sound, bland, no flavour or dynamics) wrapped up in a stupid mock electric guitar body. I think it's a toy for stupid people not a real guitar. Honestly you could probably buy the cheapest acoustic guitar you can find an the cheapest electric and they would both sound better then these things.

Much prefer the tele version. This is a musicians guitar, perfect for someone who plugs in at gigs and especially if they use a looper. Was watching a guy over the weekend, brilliant player, better singer but let down by an awful plugged in sound. Doing a 3 hour cover set in a big pub venue across decades and genres. His guitar could not keep up- all one sound and all bad. One of these would have been perfect. Wouldn’t sound as good as a D28, and a Maton AP5 Pro and a tele brought out by a roadie but most of us will never have that luxury.

But interested to see if they do modeled sounds in the future which sound like acoustics being recorded via a quality external mic, rather than having them all sound like they are coming through the amp. That would add an extra sound quality especially if you were doing picked acoustic solos in quieter pieces (remove a bit of the twang).

The only and the only problem I have is the A and R amp I believe you called it versus the Fishman amp. I say this because the A and R made that Guitar plug into it sound more based compared to the Fishman. Now had they both been using the same amps, that's the experiment for comparisons of the two! You guys definitely rocked the house down with your lil O' jam session for sure and I loved that for sure. Right now I have the Fender Villager Acoustic/Electric 12 string Guitar with the very Fishman amp you used here. I just figured I'd try it. I bought it to try it. It's OK and could be better for sure but then again I am still finding out more and more about my newbie guitar. The original 12 string I did have and I did love it was... a Kawai, 12 string. That had the clean yet deep and rich tones I liked and it projected very very sweetly. Mind you that was only an Acoustic 12 string but man did it play! I'm a Tele kind of guy usually. The first guitar I ever owned was actually a Telstar so with that I just jumped into what ever came close to it's name and started looking. I am beginning to lean toward the Strat more often than not though lately, although I love the look of the Tele more! Wish I could get the Strat sound in the Tele look and I'd prob. be good to go! lol

So I’m using an acoustisonic Tele that I’m borrowing from a friend for a gig tonight. It sounds really good through my acoustic amp at home in all positions of the guitar. Will it sound just as good (more or less) through the PA at the gig tonight? I’m sure it will on the acoustic setting (I usually just run my acoustic guitar through the PA at gigs) but I’m not sure about the electric side, especially when I do overdriven solos. Can anyone help?

I have an American Acoustasonic Tele and I absolute love it. The list price on mine was 2,000 American Dollars but I got it for $1200.00 on Reverb. I got lucky! It's slim and more portable and I can play it on the couch without disturbing people watching TV. And the variation of settings is insane. Like having 10 acoustic guitars in 1. Best money ever spent.

I am not sure if the different sounds posibilities is a pro or a con in this case. I remember when I tried the Tele version sounded processed, like there was a chip inside doing the different sounds. To many combinations hard to remember that have to be written to explain. The other thing is the price. Same budget you can get an american Tele and a Gibson g45 with a fishman transducer.

I really wish Pete had finished his thought at 15.40...sounded like it was going to be about the electric sounds and maybe how to get the best out of them. I've had an Acoustasonic Tele for a few weeks now and the only real niggle I've got is how compressed the electric sounds are. Good, but quite squashed.
