Andy makes THE BEST guitar demos on KZbin and just about everywhere else. Whenever I listen to one if his demos I really hear how that particular guitar sounds like, because of the way he matches the tone and playing style to the guitar he is reviewing. Congratulations.

KZbin is so dominated by people competing in the shred olympics, PGS is a beacon of hope that some people in the world still know what great guitar playing is really all about. Listening to Andy sustain a single bended note means so much more than any 3000bpm arpeggio. A truly inspirational player. Keep on keepin on dude!

playes one the other day looking for a new number 1 tele.... It's absolutely beautiful in white, and trying all the teles in the shop, this is the onw I played for about an hour. I was simply blown away.... Can sound vintage or modern at your demand..... Some might not like the frets at first, but they feel amazing. So easy to play it's unbelievable... It was just as comfortable as the suhr standing next to it in the shop.. Selling my les paul to get it.

Just bought the same sunburst tele like in this review, few days before. Fine crafted instrument, can't find any downside. Very versatile, excellent to play and have strong identity and attitude. Vintage bridge with 3 brass saddles and TS pups are admirable decision - bell sounding as it should be. In short - excellent instrument and I'm sure it will age properly, just like my old '78 strat. Andy, this extra review helps me a lot to make this decision. Thank you!

I know how people always say they wish they could play like you but when I watch you i get inspired to play better and just pick up my guitar. This is no small thing considering I only feel this way when I watch Hendrix or Vaughn.

Man, I just bought one and it's preety awesome! It's good for blues, rock, jazz, metal, bossa nova, MPB... As I'm from Brazil, it was a little expensive but its a very good tele! It's a Fender, and better, its all american made!!!!!!!
@pivetlord1312 жыл бұрын
This guitar is amazing. I fell in love with the white one at my local music store. Plays like a dream. The neck is really easy to get around on and the jumbo frets feel to me alot more natural than the mediums. The Texas special pickups are actualy great for hard rock and metal! I played this through a boss power stack with full on Dist. And it sounded amazing.

Awesome playing, Andy! You really showcased this latest gem from Fender. Of course, across the KZbin community the sound of panicked guitarists brushing up on their chops now fills the air.

Man, an excellent review. A appreciate one thing about all your guitar reviews: you always play the reviewed guitar as it should be played. No shredding on Telecasters and heavy metal distortion on a '60 Strat - you know what I want to say. Going to check and possibly buy this Tele Special, only in olympic white today.

@Stratomite There is alot of OTHER fender models in those colours... these guitars are made in 2 colours to save money on their production... tso it saves us money... thats why they are 800 and not 1000+ like the other american models.

this is true, but I use a tele almost exclusively, and I don't play country. It's true that if I want a country vibe it fits perfectly but it does blues, fuzzed-out psychedelia, and jazz pretty great too

Played this guitar and loved it, but I have a chance to buy an older Standard for $200.00 cheaper. Can't decide what to do. I know the standards are supposed to have more perks but I think I might just go with what sounds and feels best. Anyone know why the Standards are considered better, if they are at all?
@helgakrobo13 жыл бұрын
@Ziece4 One has a tremolo, the other doesn't, one is curved in places, the other one is a lot more plain, one has 3 pickups, the other has two, and finally, one is used for rock, the other is mostly country.

Question: I was thinking of getting the Deluxe Tele, but I like the sound of this Tele more, and its less money. Does anyone know if you can install an S-1 switch on this kind of guitar?
@gtowngearhead15 жыл бұрын
Texas Special pickups are just a high output single coil pickup... SRV tone. Comparatively cheap when against high end boutique, but it's a Fender pickup.. I mean unless you just hate Fender quality it's not "cheaply" made.

If Fender insists on the 3 barrrel bridge, for crying out loud, can't they go w/ compensated saddles for improved intonation; I mean, seriously, it's one thing to throw them on a vinatge replica, but on a modern guitar! As always, nice demo Andy.
