Fender American Standard Stratocaster

A video demo of my new 2016 Fender American Standard Stratocaster with custom shop fat 50s pickups. Fender discontinued this line as of November 2016. Purchased this from Sweetwater a few weeks ago for $1099 with the Fender hardshell case. The combination of rosewood and bordeaux color gives that custom shop look in my opinion, beautiful guitar indeed. I'm also impressed how well the stock Fender tremolo bridge stays in tune after using it aggressively, as you may see in this video. The factory setup was spot on. I'm using an Egnater Tweaker 15 watt combo tube amp and a black limited edition Boss DS-1 distortion pedal. An Electro Harmonix Holy Grail Nano reverb pedal was used via Eganter Tweaker effects loop. Recording was through a Presonus Audiobox interface and a Sennhieser e609 dynamic microphone.

Can't believe Fender is discontinuing this line. I'm sure (hoping!) they won't change much but, obviously this is a case of "if it ain't broke, fix it?" haha! Congrats on the Strat! I got mine a few months ago in the same color bordeaux metallic and rosewood! lol

Yea it is too bad Fender stopped making this line, but I'm sure Fender will making it again due to high demands for it. The bordeaux and rosewood combination make it look like a custom shop version for me.

Yes, I still have the Marshall DSL 40C, its a keeper for sure, but I also like playing through different amps and guitars. Yes, the Egnater Tweaker is a great amp as well and works extremely well with all types of pedals. I also like the versatility of tweaking with different tone voicing at your disposal.
