I picked up a 2000 MIM Thinline for my daughter. It makes some really sweet tones and is just so easy to look at. She adores it.

Very good review. Proper AB-ing between the models. Actually helpful and nice focus on both clean and driven tones. Thanks!

'72 gets my vote for both sounds and looks - I'd have to play one to see if I was comfortable with the 7.25" radius but from what you said I think it would be fine.

Everyone has already mentioned everything that’s brilliant and informative about this video, so I’ll just say thank you 👍

I like the use of the same lick to demonstrate different switch options. All too often in demos we don't get this true A/B comparison. Do I detect a bit of Walter Becker influence in the opening music? Anyhoo, nice playing, we like v much. Nice one Jamie. 🎶🌟👍

Fantastic demo- great playing and analysis! The old WR has certainly mellowed over the years. As someone who owned a 74 Thinline in the 80s, I can say with confidence that a reasonably new one sounds exactly like the new ones. They should mellow out in time and match your 70s Custom. Um, could you please give it a good cleaning? It deserves some TLC!

Man I love the tint on those new avri ii’s. The headstocks look so good. But the real 72 humbucker sounded best!!

My favorite has always been the deluxe telecaster without the “F” hole….I’m 64 years old now and still love that model guitar….

Do you know the neck shape of the deluxe?

I thought I would like the 1975 Deluxe better for the blending of pickups and 4 knob control layout but I’ve always been intrigued by the Thinline which sounds better IMO

Wonderful video & playing, thank you very much indeed, Sir. *sorry for my English & grammar. Is it true that this AVII Tele Thinline Wide Range slightly more clear/bright/"less muddy" than AVII Tele Deluxe Wide Range simply because the AVII Thinline Deluxe use only 2 pots (Volume & Tone) ?

I really dig the thin line...wow! I do play a standard Tele early 1980 and a 1979 Strat but (I would) love - love to pick up a thin line. I'm curious about amplification though, I would like to hear these beautiful axes thru a Fender Delux or my '71 Twin Reverb.,(or vintage) Princeton.

I waited for those to be reissued and made in USA for so long. Meanwhile enjoying my Mexican Tele 72.

I thought the reissue deluxe neck pup sounded better than the original, had more clarity and jangle where the original was a bit muddier with less definition. Of course this could have been due to old strings or something so…

Nice tones. I like the small headstock. I just can't gel with the larger headstock. I think that was a real mistake on tele's and even strat's.
@mrpositronia Жыл бұрын
I've always preferred the larger headstocks on the Strat. Seems a bit odd on the Tele, but that's only because it's not common.
