Nice looking walnut jazz, there! Great, I just recently bought a Spector from Andertons, now I'm being lured by this.

Hey guys, I really like the Andertons KZbin channel. There's something for the guitarists, bassists, drummers, yes, even for the synth guys. But what about us folk people? What about a video in which you present something "special" like mandolins or dobros? That's the only thing this channel is missing, and something a lot of people would enjoy! :)

I know it's been a year, but it's good comment. All I can say is that British music shops, just don't have the demand or the ability to play them!

Another great videos guys. Btw, Fender certainly used rosewood (on P basses too) before 1963.

The Fender P Basses were the first electric bass guitar, so the thumb rest was to simulate the feeling of holding the edge of the fretboard for those who were used to playing upright bass.

Sounds amazing! Is there any chance we could get a showdown between the Ibanez SR and BTB series? The BTB745 and the SR655 for example, which are around the same price point. Thank you so much for all your amazing team do on this channel, it's a wonderful thing.

So in my band, my guitarist has just gotten an 8 string so often takes up the bass and treble and we were in Drop C but he plays in F# so I'm just wondering would a P-bass or a J-bass be better to cut through those frequencies? I'm imagining I'd need to have more of a mid tone frequency. I'd probably be in E standard now instead of C
@Murgins
@Murgins 7 жыл бұрын
i think that a p bass cuts more through the mix, but you can sound just as good with a jazz bass with the right amp settings
@seanangermeier3266
@seanangermeier3266 7 жыл бұрын
Andrew Coates Find another band. No bass will cut through that easily. Him/her cranking his bottom and top sounds cool alone, but doesn't ever work in a band mix. If he/she can't recognize that then they're wasting your time.

Tell your guitarist to give the bass player some frequency space, or use a 6 string.

I would say go with a jazz bass with an active EQ so you can fine tune yourself into the mix

Bob Pijnenburg put on some headphones and stop using your iPhone speaker or something similar to discern very low-end rich tones, which the speaker simply can't produce.

The P-Bass is no better than the J-Bass and vice versa. They complement one another just like a Telecaster and Les Paul in the same mix. It is like adding chocolate fudge to vanilla ice cream to make a sundae.

I suppose they might. - But sound like what, though?... Their modernistic Nu-Metal guitars from the first two albums? - The more Rock 'n' Roll sound from the third album? Or electronic samples from later on?...
