Thanks for the run down. I like a clean sound. Too many product demos go with lots of overdrive and most of the time I like that sound that brings out the sound of the guitar I'm using. I add sound off my pedal board if I want the effects.

I have that amp too and i love it. Yes it's too loud for home, but still i use it because i like no other one less loud than this one. I had it already for repair twice. The knobs start to scratch over time and other components inside had to be replaced. I spent at least as much as the new one have cost, but still i wont give up on it. It's just too good. Another problem was the input jack that goes in on top. If you step on the cable you will damage the jack because too much force is applied to the jack input. Now i'm using a 90degree angled plug in order to reduce the force.

Ok. To those that don't know how to use a drive channel......like the guy doing the video, if you'll bring the master volume almost all the way down and then bring the drive volume up, you'll drive the amp at lower volumes. I thought this was common knowledge.

I also use mine for home practice and while I can't run it LOUD, with a few pedals I get the sound I want. They are more versatile than the Fender Deluxe Reverb 65. The Fender Deluxe Reverb 65 doesn't have a Master Volume or overdrive channel. If you have another opinion on this please feel free to comment your disagreement.

I just bought a Fender Deluxe amp. and I love it. I wanted a clean amp. that would handle pedals well and I found. I am very happy. With it I haven't played it on a gig yet. so I can't wait. What is good high gain distortion pedal that Sound good with this amp. I was thinking a train wreck. with my Boss delay pedal. I think that would do it for me. I shopped around for amps I tried those black star amps I was not impressed. I tried a 40 watt Marshall. No thanks. I tried a Orange no thanks. No tone on those amps. I tried a 4 10 Peavy.. No thanks. So finally I tried the Fender Deluxe. and I finally I found my dream amp. Not to loud 40 watt tube amp is perfect. for any application. Perfect club amp not to big. So I have been playing guitar 44 years. and I think I know tone. I take my hat off to Fender. I give this amp a 5 ***** star rating. Pat Romero Denver Colo.
@VintageRadius6 жыл бұрын
Patrick Romero check out the KZbin channel “That Pedal Show.” Highly recommend it. They have an episode for pretty much every type of distortion, overdrive, fuzz, etc, and pretty much always incorporate a clean fender amp- usually a super reverb that has a lot of headroom, which your amp has, so not worlds apart. They have an episode on how to get more from your Fender Hot Rod Deluxe which might be of interest. Very similar clean sounds to the Blues Deluxe.

@hootowl63546 жыл бұрын
Beware. A 15-watt amp can be too loud for bedroom play. I had a Fender 5-watt and even that was loud. IMO, any practice amp should have a good master volume to bring down the loudness, and if that's the case then watts doesn't matter much. People think watts is the only thing that matters in loudness. They never even mention speaker sensitivity.

Thanks for the effort and the upload. But for the sake of purpose, we can assume, and probably very accurately, that 99% of the people watching a demo video of a Fender Blues Deluxe know what a standby switch is and what's it's for. This 13 minute video could have been either reduced with the information the 99% are seeking in five minutes, or filled the 13 min with more playing, tone options, pickup switching, etc. I got the feeling that I entered a grade school introduction to what an electric guitar amp is. Anyway, thanks again, and I thumbed up
