I have one custom shop. 1960 jazz stack knob in olympic white. I have to say the feel and sound is incredible! Pickups just boom! I so want that black 62!

We use the DI signal from the amp and an SM94. DI gives accurate lows/highs, and the 94 (not generally a bass mic) gives accurate miss. I blend them about 70/30 on the DI side. Thanks for watching - Anthony

I'm very interested in Fender Custom Shop Basses... unfortunately, my bank account is not interested. That aside, that's a great sounding and looking bass. My favorite bass guitar model of all--early 60's stack-knob Jazz Bass. I have the relic model Fender Mexico made a couple years ago (anniversary model) and I love it. It's my main player. But I'd sure love to have the custom shop version...

Still a great bass I'm sure. I play Custom Shop stuff in my personal life, but tone is so much in the fingers and player. NEVER sweat the pricey stuff, just enjoy what you have and you may be able to get one at some point. Thanks for watching - Anthony
