I just want to thank The Alamo Music center for the exceptional customer service! I bought this guitar back in February and the wait was 100% worth it! Thank you Cooper for the shoutout in the video! I plan on being a customer for life!! The video and you playing my guitar was an absolute honor, you’re a exceptional musician!! Thanks again Cooper and Nick at Alamo Music, there is no wonder why your store has been around for 90+ years, the best and coolest experience I’ve ever had buying a guitar!!

It's a wonderful guitar, isn't it? That was kind of you to let them film a video with it. My shop wanted to waste no more time, refused to do a Facebook post on it and had it on its way to me the second it arrived.

Newly discovered. The fact that a young guy like you chose All Things Must Pass as your top guitar album amazes me... speaks to your taste and independence of thought. Exceptional choice, pal. Love your channel!

I amazingly remember the exact moment I decided "hey music is kinda cool, maybe I will get into it." I was like 11, and I had Kazaa (like Napster), and decided to search for some music. I never was into music before this. And I typed in the Beatles, cos hey, they seemed pretty popular. A bunch of songs populated, and I clicked one called Something, waited for it to download at like 6 kbps.... and played it. It was the first time I really listened, and was moved by music. Just such a pretty song. Anyway I'm 33 now and have been music obsessed ever since as a listener, player, singer, writer. The Beatles, and George, I've always had a very special love for. Though he played the Les Paul on that track. Anyway, just wanted to share my corny ass music story. George is the man.

I finally received mine after having been on preorder (not from this shop) since launch day (a video is actually on my channel, if anyone is interested). Everything about this guitar that Cooper is true. His playing is better than mine will ever be. Very kind of your customer to let you film a video with it, too. I also agree that with the Super Deluxe Edition box set reissues of both "All Things Must Pass" and "Let It Be", plus the "Get Back" documentary, it was an extremely wise, smart and natural move on Fender's part to reissue this guitar. I'm blessed to have one and so is your customer (who I see commented as well. What's up, Tony?) The person George gave his original to was Delaney Bramlett, who encouraged George to play slide guitar. Delaney sold it at auction in 2003 and the one and only Ed Begley, Jr bought the guitar and gave it back to Olivia and Dhani, who had it restored to it's stock form (supposedly, Bramlett routed one of the pickups out for a humbucker). in 2011, Dhani showed the guitar to Conan O'Brien for a long-gone iPad app spotlighting George's guitars. Dhani said that guitar weighed a ton and would cut off the circulation in one's thigh if they weren't careful. I also believe that George's also had a gloss polyurethane finish and a 7.25 neck radius.

I’ve held one that I believe was a reissue from 1982 (I could be wrong about that). What I remember immediately was the sheer weight of it! It felt like I was holding a Les Paul Custom. Sustain for days!

I love that you guys made this video! So many major channels connected to stores haven’t made one (probably because it won’t help them sell an already sold out model) so I appreciate that you guys took the time! Sounds beautiful

I have many images that pop into my head when I think of George with a guitar. The white tele at the concert for Bangladesh. The black duojet on the cover of Cloud 9. The blonde tele in the video for Got My Mind Set on You. The psychadelic strat. His Casino. His 12- string Rickenbacker. Consequently, I don't heavily associate him with the rosewood tele, even though it was unique.

There's a rumour that the main reason the police were worried about whether the roof could take the weight of the Beatles playing the rooftop concert was down to Geroge's solid rosewood tele... :)

Great guitar, fantastic performance! I can already picture 1969 George Harrison lacadasically bemoaning himself: "Well I can't play any of that, really... Maybe you should get him to play on the rec-cord? I wouldn't mind, you know?"
@rexrathtar38932 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I remember this popping up as new on the Fender website... and then seeing it nowhere for sale anywhere. Fender playing silly games by intentionally producing way below demand.

The guitar George called ” The worst guitar I have ever played”. George was never again seen with a Telecaster for the rest of his career. Only used 2 weeks ( the least used Beatle guitar of them all). Then immidiately gave it away never wanting to See it for the rest of his life. Shame on Fender and Olivia Harrison for doing this to George. The guitar George called the worst guitar he had ever played ” The Fender Rosewood Telecaster” was bought buy Olivia Harrison 2 years after Feorges death and she let Fender produce it. Olivia has Done a lot of stuff George would have not approved. He promised to pay a pension to his sister for 2000 USD for the rest of her life. The month after Georges death Olivia stops the payment to Georges sister.
