I LOVE my Mascis Squier!! The trem arm is a press in, super long like you said in the video. I found after a couple years of owning mine and having the high E break far more frequently than any other guitar I've played, that it needed a neck shim to incread the break angle at back of the trem. Without the shim, the high E was rubbing on the dome of the screw that runs right underneath it and destroying the wrapped end of the string. Added the shim and no issues.

Hi Dane, I appreciate the invite to the shred collaboration. I'm just not that good. I probably can't even do the backing tracks. I wish I could. Have a good day

My fave tuners for sure. Easy to string and easy to remove and no sharp ends!

J.Mascis also made a couple albums with a band called Witch who were heavy stoner/psychedelic rock, they only made two albums, 'Witch' from 2006 and 'Paralyzed' from 2008 . both worth checking out if you're a fan of the genre , that's a beautiful Jazzmaster there, .that anodized gold pickguard looks great with the of white/cream colored paint job. I like that it's already dinged up a bit so you don't have to baby it and can play it aggressively without fear as intended

I love my J Mascis, which I call "The Duke". I think they are one of the best choices at $500, they're built like Swiss watches. They are a little quirky; the bridge is actually identical to a Les Paul, down to the 12" radius with this axe's 14" fretboard. LOL. The tailpiece is also 15mm closer to the bridge. The combination means the bends may not be quite as dreamy as a regular Jazzmaster, but the stings will rarely jump out of their saddles.

Are the new ones 14” radius? I have a 2017 and it’s 9.5”.

Been really getting into offsets lately and this one looks really cool. Love the idea of a roller bridge instead of the traditional jazzmaster bridge.

I've got one of the last rosewood bridge Jmascis Squiers, the neck is undoubtedly one of the best necks i have, the feel and the profile.. the feel is unreal . . . I want a jag with a neck like this one, or a strat or a tele, or a charvel old ones anyways, the closest one to this is the charvel DK24 pro mod but that's cooked neck, flatter. maple, I prefer ebony or rosewood a normal or standard C

Yo Dane! This is Cary Jr! I have been looking for one of these so badly! Is this for sale yet? I will be all over it. Also, Mascis is a Massachusetts legend, my biggest influence! He was pre Grunge by a bit, and more of the post hardcore timeline of bands. Famously though, turned down Kurt Cobain who asked him to be the drummer in Nirvana before Dave Grohl. One of the most unique players I've ever heard.

One of the greatest guitars I have ever owned but unfortunately my came with the crappiest pickup screws ever. They got stripped and ruined the setup and is putting me through a lot of pain right now.

I love those style of tuners too. I don't know why the modern tuner became the standard. Split shaft is infinitely superior in design.

Saw Dinosaur Jr. in the mid 00's. Show was entirely too loud. Good, but I had to listen to the show frpm behind the venue.
