I'm at level 7 of rock guitar, and I really like it. The small, bite-sized lessons help me to get that sense of achievement without getting frustrated and feeling like I can't do it. And I like how they throw in the songs after every few lessons. It's kind of like a reward after I get through the in-between ones. So, I'm going to get the most I can out of Fender Play.

Another good review. I have been a member of Fender Play about 3 years. I got a ukelele, and they had ukelele lessons and songs, riffs, etc. I was pleased with the material, still am. Last Christmas I got a new bass from my wife. Fender Play has bass lessons so I went back there. Guitar Tricks doesn't offer bass, ukelele, etc. The short, easy bite size lessons have been good. I was used to them from the ukelele material so there was no surprise there. What I probably need to do once I get through the bass lessons is concentrate more on learning songs from their song library. I can say the same for Guitar Tricks. Both platforms have good song libraries. What I like about learning bass from Fender Play is that I have learned a lot of skills that carry over to guitar quite nicely. Fender Play seems to continue to grow and offer more content. Guitar Tricks has begun updating their site and making changes which help it to be easier still to navigate. Good job on both Omar.

Hey thanks for watching both and leaving your thoughts. It's really dope to see that you have the same experience and view of both GT and FP as I did. Seems like we agree pretty closely on our overall takes. Much love and respect!

Just started Fender and it seems pretty fun. Doing the 14 day trial first

On the free trial right now. I like the short lessons and after the video, I like to practice what I learned immediately for a while and then move on to the next video.

That's a good way to do it

Just looking for the one that has the most Green Day songs to learn but also a bachelor number 1 song. Which has the most between Guitar Tricks or Fender Play? Thanks

Nice review. Thanks! I've tried some other lesson sites both free and paid and always get bored and lose interest. I'm going to give Fender Play a shot to see if the short lesson format is more my style.

What platform would you recommend for someone who's never played or knows how to read music? I think it's probably best at my age to just learn TAB...
@deviant-noise7 күн бұрын
I think Fender Play would be a good option for you to start with. The lessons are all tab based, and it's a great guided approach for complete beginners.

Fender wins, hands down due to learning artist riffs. Due to copyright laws, all of the cool riffs you want to learn, can’t be taught by the others. In my mind, this encourages a new player the most. Nothing compares to learning a quick riff to a song that inspired you to pick up the guitar.
