Hello my friend, thank you for the kind words. This Strat is so much fun to play. The finish is a little whacky and that adds to the fun even more. This is my first SSH Strat. So far, so good. I also loved the fact that they rolled the fingerboard edges. It came out of the box feeling like a familiar vibe. Hang in there and stay healthy! peace.

Hello Siegfried, it is always a welcome surprise to hear from you. I hope that you are doing well and staying warm. DETROIT is a frosty place right now. I stay at home and play guitar most of the time. Going outside is a thrilling event in the cold chill of MOTOWN> hahaha. So, Fender also is putting out some guitars with the old GOLD FOIL pickups. Geez, I would like to get my hands on one of those guitars too. But, for now, I will jam with the stuff I already have. Be safe my dear friend. and rock on!!

HELLO ROBERT !!!!! I hope that 2023 has been a good musical year for you so far. Man....it feels like January is lasting for 3 months instead of one. hahaha. This is my first HSS Strat. the humbucking pickup is a cool thing to have. I actually prefer the sound of these pickups in a cleaner setting. Fender rolled the edges of the fingerboard so this thing feels really good right from the start. Great balance and excellent attention to detail. Fender has the right stuff going on. Man, it's cold in Detroit right now. i don't want to go outside for too much time.....brrrr. I'm going to get through this Motor City cold snap with a warm guitar in hand. hahhaa. Be safe and sound my friend. 2023 is your year to set the sonic skies ablaze with beautiful music! peace.

Personally I think Pau Ferro gets a bad rep, I know the whole CITES business set off quite a few people a few years ago but it's a good substitute. Hopefully not stepping on eggshells with that opinion.

Hey Tom S, thanks for the shout out. This instrument delivers exactly as expected. Fender kept the quality up and the price down. I am not sure why people are sensitive about the pau ferro fingerboard. feels just fine to me. Everyone has preferences so it's all good. I hope that you are enjoying your musical 2023 so far. Hi Metal Pig....hahahaha. Yeah, I've got a little bit of gain rolling with this little jam. The Strat Player Plus is very cool. The fit and finish are superb. The pickups are very good too. this is my first SSH Strat. It's not a metal machine but it's just nasty enough to cause a little craziness. hahaha. Rock solid and stay safe. peace.
