Vintage Guitar Oldenburg and Tobias Hoffmann present a Fender Stratocaster Plus from 1993 in blueburst. More infos at: www.vintage-guitar.de/detailsv...
The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1974 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (left) and a Sennheiser 409 (right) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. A Electro Harmonix Freeze was used for additional loops and sounds. Overdrive Sounds come from a Vemuram Jan Ray, a Greer Amp Ghetto Stomp and occasionally the Origin Revival Drive.
Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. He combines the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Surf and some experimental stuff. Check him out:

Bought a Strat plus on my 20th birthday!! 25 years later, I still have it and remember a few years back, a guy that owns a guitar store told me to never sell it after he did some maintenance on it for me :) I notice their value has been rising over the years! I keep mine because it’s unique and has tone you will miss if you sold it :)

give him a standart strat from any year and you'll like what you hear just as much (if not more). this is not a guitar that lives up to hype. it's not a good guitar believe me. what you like here is the player. you'll know what i mean one day (if you keep working on your critical listening)

I bought a strat plus new in 1993, sold it in 1995 and regretted it every day since. Just got a mint 1991 in black and I can't tell you how special it is. I'll put it up against my custom shop strat any day. It's a very special instrument.

Great guitar, I have a 88 standard strat and like it more than anything in the new custom shop fender.Would love to get a strat plus from that Era before they become to high priced.The one Tobias is playing is a good example. Not to mention the beautiful metalic colors available then.

i own one in natural , but mine has a different nut , so this is an early 93 and mine is a later one from 93 . no rise in prize here on them tho

It's a "Plus", not the "Deluxe Plus". It's preferable to the "Floyd Rose" nonsense bridge.

​@@mickeystanic4750 O K. Plus. The nonsense Fender/ Floyd Rose bridge is a pretty neat setup in the right hands. My has been setup with the Hipshot Tremsetter from the week I got my Strat used. Set it up to whammy up and down 25 yrs ago and intonatied then. Haven't touch any adjustments in all this time and just play the shit out of this nonsensical bridge since. Only thing I've "fixed" on this guitar is replaced the Schaller straplocks cause I want to keep it all original. The only problem with this guitar is the color, vintage blonde? Looks more like butt ugly yellow but the guitar is magic. After buying it many yrs ago, I finally got something good enough to ALWAYS play and it made me a better player by ALWAYS playing and not repairing anything. Best $750 I ever spent.

@@sparkyguitar0058 Let me take that back. Nothing wrong with it but there is nothing that - that- type of the FR does that this one can't do with or w/o the Hipshot tremsettet. However, esthetically and historically it just looks goofy to me for little or no benefit at all. Cheer!

@@mickeystanic4750 This 1 does look like the Fender stock bridge, just has Allen head screws to hold strings in place. Works so good you can lay it flat and let it up to back in tune. With roller nut and locking tuners I use any 9's set of strings and keep them on for too long cause I'm lazy to change strings that still work. Even though changing strings takes about 20 minutes. Hell it takes me longer to gather all the stuff than to actually change the strings. Never thought a Strat could be so great.

1993 was just a couple years ago ! Damn you kids, get off my lawn ! Will have you know . In 2003 people laughed at my Lace sensor loaded Strat Plus's. AND in 1983 you couldn't give away a telecaster! And P90s were about the stupidest thing ever made !

i had this guitar for 10 years (1989 usa plus) i hated it and sold it. it took me 10 years to accept that i hated it, lol.. i fuckin hate the lace sensors, round but bell-like at the same time but in a disgusting way

You can always change the pickups for a set that you like. The Strat Plus is a great guitar in most cases. Nice sounding pieces of wood.
